From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.

The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.

The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.

After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Sorry about the 'remark' earlier, it was out of line. This whole thing just has me pissed off. Still no real news about what really happened at OU. I hope this country wakes up soon from the PC nap about our enemies.

Unless you have access to local news...you are not aware of the cover-up and spin that started last night.

Copy cats would be bad...I'm already nervous about going to the NU game next week. Still going...but a bit nervous...

They will probably use DNA. BAFT or the equal State agency will also trace as many of the bomb components as they are able. This could also lead to the identity of the bomb carrier.

I was asking a question... besides... there's almost 30 years of documentation that demands an answer.

You know what? There are quite a few thought control police running around on this thread. I had one poster objecting to my disgust with the MSM yesterday.

But don't you find it odd that some individual blew himself up right outside a stadium, and it is not even being questioned by the media?

What makes you think they didn't? And the Police say "no comment".

Remember Hossam Armanious's murder. So many people here were sure it was Muslims, turned out to be a couple of local druggies in a robbery gone bad.

Now it very well may be Islamic terrorists...but it may not.
And if it is I don't expect to hear anything about it today.

AN UNDOCUMENTED, MIDDLE-EASTERN MALE IN HIS MID-20's?

Source please."

Valin, that was speculation on his/her part. It is, after all, one of the possibilities. There are quite a few such people attending OU, if you delete the "UNDOCUMENTED" from the question. May well be more than a few even if you don't delete. There are something over 20,000 students at OU, of which I am one.

I'm not middle-eastern, nor in my mid-twenties. I am, however, reasonably close to Tim McVeigh's age, if he'd survived this long, and also a Desert Storm vet. The
pool of possible culprits/victims is fairly large, and also fairly diverse, even if we limit it to students at OU.

This thread will die soon. In a week you won't even remember this event. The spinners have arrived.

---I know I've been to several college football games where a bomb big enough to shake the entire concrete stadium went off on-campus during the game, and nobody thought a thing about it. Everybody just looked at each other and said, 'Oh well, just another student suicide.'

I mean, haven't you?---

That's a wrap then. I think we can all agree nothing happened. Does anyone know the latest on Natalie?

"They are historically one of the leading programs in the country in Petroleum Engineering. I assume they still are."

Yep. Still are. Large geosciences department, mostly focused on Petroleum, but not exclusively.

LOL. Thanks for a good belly laugh in an otherwise somber thread. Perhaps you could ask the City to erect a plaque at the Murrah Building commemarating (sp) the reverent event.

Large geosciences dept.? Hmmmmm. Wouldn't they have equipment that might possibly be measuring seismographic occurrences? It would be interesting to see a number.
