The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
It is aggravating that this morning people are jumping in without having read 1400 posts during live events.
Yes- some FReepers had family at the game and PhiKapMom was there as well.
Well, if it wasn't for the FR site I would not even know this morning ANYTHING happened at all in Oklahoma.
I don't have a good feeling about this and I got a bad feeling about the President's upcoming speech this week.
I have no idea how you handle any kind of terrorist activity, known or unknown, without completely creating chaos, IMHO, in the USA.
God Bless our President and Our Country. Pray now and ask questions later.

Perhaps they need to do attendance or roll call to see who is missing.
Not impossible, the so-called peace protesters of the VietNam era blew some campus buildings up. The Communists waving that flag today seem to be operating from the same playbook in just about everything else they do.
PETA (ALF/ELF, actually) types are another possibility, with the microbiology building there, I do not know if there are any lab animals there.
And then the number one suspect in the hit parade remains TROP.
All speculation for the moment.
I know, it is not anywhere else that I can see. I can't believe the so called press.
Thank you so much for this post Peach.
WOW!
ID could be difficult is an understatement. The person was blown to bits from what I have read.
He's not making much sense. Beta particles are high energy electrons. The two names, electron and beta particle (originally beta ray) arose because physicists did not originally know they were the same thing, or even a particle in the case of beta. Beta particle is usually used when the electron originates in some nuclear process, such as decay one type of atom (nucleus) into another. In that case a neutron is converted to a proton.
EMP is ElectroMagnetic Pulse. The term was originally used in conjunction with the pulse produced by a nuclear explosion, but now EMP can be produced by specially designed devices energized with conventional explosives. EMP can scramble computers, and "fry" the front end of electronics, such as radios, radar, TV, etc. Beta particles, unless very energetic, are stopped by your skin.
Re: 1639 - Your theory has merit. That means that there's two perps out there roaming around, probably with messy drawers.
Peach, thanks for this recap. I'm unable to find PhiKapMom's original post. We were away from the teevee last night, and we didn't hear anything about this until the 10 o'clock news. As you might expect, they downplayed everything. The claim is--no injuries, and just one death. They are calling it a suicide, NOT a suicide bombing. WHY does Oklahoma always do this?
Do a user search and read PhiKapMom
