Emergency Transmitter Signal Leads Searchers To Attic
Transmitter Was In 'On' Position
WASHOUGAL, Wash. -- The search for a downed plane is over after search and rescue teams find the emergency transmitter that was emitting the signal but no plane.
The emergency transmitter was found in the attic of a shed on a rural piece of property on Northeast Winters Road, about nine miles north of Washougal.
The emergency signal was first picked up by Virginia authorities around 9 p.m. Monday. They then contacted Clark County Search and Rescue and a search was launched.
An Oregon Air National Guard helicopter joined the search Tuesday morning. An antenna and a signal finder were used on the ground. As ground searchers moved up a remote road near Jones Creek trailhead they tracked the signal to the shed.
The transmitter, which looks a lot like a brick of Tillamook cheese, was switched into the "on" position. When the transmitter is in a plane it is put in the "arm" position, but the one found Tuesday was in the "on" position.(snip)

That headline is incredulous. Since when is an explosive device under a parked car NOT a threat? Just how gullible do they think we are?
Well there you go. All this time I had been looking for something that looked like mild cheddar!

Thank you Fair Opinion.
I appreciate all the links you send our way.
"In gruesome pre-dawn strikes, militants, allegedly belonging to the pro-Pak Hizbul Mujahideen outfit, killed ten members of two Hindu families by slitting their throats in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
On one side India is shipping airloads of help for victims in Pakistan and on other hand Pakistan trained terrorists strike in India slitting throats of innocent Hindus. A striking example of Islamic treatment to the world."
More fun and games by the scum of the earth

"U.S. accuses North Korea of $100 bill counterfeiting"
THE WASHINGTON TIMES ^ | Oct 12, 2005 | Bill Gertz
Posted on 10/11/2005 10:19:36 PM PDT by Hadean
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The Bush administration formally has accused North Korea of manufacturing high-quality counterfeit $100 "supernotes" for the first time, according to an indictment made public yesterday as part of a 16-year probe.
"Quantities of the supernote were manufactured in, and under auspices of the government of, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)," said the indictment of Irish national Sean Garland and six others. "Individuals, including North Korean nationals acting as ostensible government officials, engaged in the worldwide transportation, delivery, and sale of quantities of supernotes."
It was the first time the federal government provided details of North Korea's suspected counterfeiting of U.S. currency. The May 19 indictment was unsealed Saturday after Mr. Garland was arrested in Belfast.
A Justice Department spokesman said the State Department will file a formal extradition request for Mr. Garland in the next several days."

Letter from al-Zawahiri to al-Zarqawi
October 11, 2005
ODNI News Release No. 2-05
Today the Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a letter between two senior al Qa'ida leaders, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, that was obtained during counterterrorism operations in Iraq. This lengthy document provides a comprehensive view of al Qa'ida's strategy in Iraq and globally.
The letter from al-Zawahiri to al-Zarqawi is dated July 9, 2005. The contents were released only after assurances that no ongoing intelligence or military operations would be affected by making this document public.
The document has not been edited in any way and is released in its entirety in both the Arabic and English translated forms. The United States Government has the highest confidence in the letter's authenticity.
Al-Zawahiri's letter offers a strategic vision for al Qa'ida's direction for Iraq and beyond, and portrays
al Qa'ida's senior leadership's isolation and dependence.
Among the letter's highlights are discussions indicating:
The centrality of the war in Iraq for the global jihad.
From al Qa'ida's point of view, the war does not end with an American departure.
An acknowledgment of the appeal of democracy to the Iraqis.
The strategic vision of inevitable conflict, with a tacit recognition of current political dynamics in Iraq; with a call by al-Zawahiri for political action equal to military action.
The need to maintain popular support at least until jihadist rule has been established.
Admission that more than half the struggle is taking place "in the battlefield of the media."

Last night. PG&E does not know cause.
Where is CAIR and the ACLU in protecting the Hindus may I ask? Oh, I see now, they protect and support the throat slitters!
Thanks Selene.
It looks like everything is ok now, but it will be good to know what caused the transormer to fail.
From al Qa'ida's point of view, the war does not end with an American departure.
Somehow I'm thinking that this is not going to mean a thing to the liberals who scream of "out of Iraq now!"
Admission that more than half the struggle is taking place "in the battlefield of the media."
In other words, the MSM is our enemy.
