The only issue that David Gibbs can ever remember Jesse Jackson and Rush Limbaugh agreeing on was the fact that Terri Schiavo should remain alive.

Did Harriet Miers advise the president regarding what to do about Terri Schiavo? If so, she'll have to recuse herself from any cases where states are sponsoring homicides.

If she stopped the rescue, she'll have to recuse.

Court clashes over assisted suicide

New Chief Justice John Roberts stepped forward Wednesday as an aggressive defender of federal authority to block doctor-assisted suicide, as the Supreme Court clashed over an Oregon law that lets doctors help terminally ill patients end their lives.

An overdose is a suicide unless it is accidental. If a doc prescribes a lethal dose for the patient to take at their convenience, what's the difference than Dr. Kevorkian driving his van with his carbon monoxide killing contraption to American neighborhoods?

Instead, the court's opinion reads like a conclusion in search of a justification.

That's exactly what it was. The rule of the case was that Terri Schiavo would have to die. Even if it meant rewriting the Florida Constitution, U.S. Constitution, and every law of the land.
