Hours before New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass announced his resignation, Tony relayed some hot information he had heard from his Capitol Hill sources. It regarded an FBI investigation currently under way.
You can go to the source above and listen to that segment of his radio show.
I don't know why you two are so fascinated by this. I don't think it is at all unusual for a white woman and a Black woman to be related, especially in that locale. Just go to a Cajun family reunion. And bring your appetite!
I'd like to see and independent audit of the mayor's books.
Throw in the governor's too!
How 'bout the Police Department's too?
They were loose, and not too smart...Hurricane blew off their cover.
If not for the wind blowing their cover, you and I both know it would still be business as usual.
American's ought to demand massive, totally independent audits/investigations at all levels of government.
LOL!
Forgot to add the article is dated March 20, 2000.
Plus, conviction of any felony would knock a public official out of office and compel his/her replacement. Concerning the corruption investigations, "Laissez le bon temps roulez."

respects to you for first making the Clinton observation. I made the mistake of not reading the thread before I posted what I thought.
Agree, only a fool would believe that.
See 583.
Fellow FR'pers, I have said from day one, NO and LA does NOT want their books exposed. The FEDS have a duty to expose all corruption, and this may be the ticket. However, since I have lost all faith in our President to do what is right for our country, I suspect this too will be swept under the rug.
God may be directing Mr. Compass to jail.
This is outrageous!
Indeed!
He will look into it real hard and say it is Brown's fault.
Thanx for the heads up.
FNC was reporting yesterday that we could give EACH person affected by Katrina and Rita 1/2 million dollars EACH directly with the money being demanded.
The hurricane bills are RIFE with MEGA-PORK!
The president only has veto power over the pork. Every lobbyist has been mobilized in DC to get their little agenda BS on the relief bills.
It's probably up to FR now since today's 'investigative reporters' only seem to 'investigate' Republicans/conservatives. This is choice, btw! Wish I could get Tony's show where I live. I really miss him as a regular on Fox TV.
What about police arrested states away with plasma screens in their cars.
Knowing NO the way I did, I would start the investigation with the Police Department and the Levee Board. The corruption in both institutes go back before Nagin was even born.
Another thing to thing about and remember:
Organizations like these form little kingdoms of their own...adminstrative bottlenecks where they control money and access to information. This is not actually a situation where the top totally runs everything. The top works with a level down, where the real management takes place. Elected officials come and go, but it's the adminstrators who stay who have a lot of the real power. And who may be cooking the books themselves.
The President has played this beautifully so far. The Rita response right along side the Katrina response is going to be illustrative as all of this stuff starts to slowly (I hope slowly) leak out.
The mid-terms are about 13 months and change away, and if any of this is true, that a good portion of the LE payroll of NO is bogus, its going to take all of the heat off of the President and FEMA.
The MSM will also be on the hot plate. They are going to have to choose again between party and credibility as this stuff starts to hit the blogosphere and talk radio starts to hammer this stuff home. If the MSM ignores something this big it is going to knock the few remaining pins left supporting the big 3 idiots, not to mention the NYT and WP, who are already laying people off in percentage points.
Dark clouds and silver linings, and all of that.
