Well, I had this all formatted, ready to go ... such are the intransigencies and vicissitudes of life, however ... I lost it. So I had to reconstruct... Oh, Bother!

"Pair up the tubes. One as an emitter, one as a receiver.... We'd be able to pull in full EM-spectrum data and project it right back out the other side.... Or we could try and focus all of the energy output of each nanotube/waveguide on one target spot and see if we can hit lasing energy densities..."

I like this. "...pulling in full EM-spectrum data..." would mean capturing the direction, frequency, and magnitude of incoming radiation. Difficult, but not impossible.

"... focus all of the energy output of each nanotube/waveguide on one target spot and see if we can hit lasing energy densities..."

Hmm. I think we should introduce a delay computation path so that we could initialize a pulse at the periphery, and have it joined in progression as we generate a wavefront of tremendous force that impacts on a single point with incredible ferocity!

"We are strong! We have Photon Weapons!" (STTNG reference)

You had something to do with this didn't you.

Do you know how heavy a cement filled milk jug is?

Difficult, but not impossile.

You mean like putting an entire castle in orbit?

We are talking tubes a couple of angstroms wide. By varying the pulse to each buy 'illionths or a second, you'd get an interference pattern, similar to gravitational lensing, that should act as an autofocus function.

Yes.

Heavier than sealed water filled jugs.

Howdy. Welcome.

Pull up a stool. What's your pleasure? -- That's legal, that is.

('Cause if it ain't legal, y'all might want to whisper...)

"... but not impossile."

You had me going there. I thought for a moment, that I had misspelled a word.

The way my mind works, rather than design a computer to do 'illionths of a second adjustments on a field of emitters only angstroms wide, but covering square miles of surface area, I would have the process of all this information be the computational path and workings of the computer.

That's right. We would be building and implementing the world's solar system's biggest, fastest, baddest computer ever. That should make designing the FAX machine, and debugging the teleporter, a relatively simple task.

I'll just go get quadded so's I can guilt trip my way into majority shares status

Don't bet on it, Prout. Whatever it means, I bet a stay-at-home mom with four children can do it better than you.

How's that for sibling rivalry, everybody?
