The sky looked very strange tonight at sunset here in Indy, lots of clouds, layered...and now it is lightly raining...and your pic would indicate that our rain is related to this storm.
That can't be possible, considering Rita was such a huge but organized mass centered in our gulf just yesterday.
The map looks as if we are receiving the outmost effects of this storm. Wild.

They won't, because as soon as the sun comes up and the hurricane force winds stop (they screw with windage something fierce), it's looter season in Texas - no license required, no caliber restrictions, and best of all no bag limit.

Geraldo is in Port Arthur and said their location was surrounded by buildings with a lot of glass, their concern was mostly flying glass.
Looks like Galveston is going to be spared a direct hit.

Leventhal in Lake Charles, La.. Hannity said they will go to him shortly. The winds were strong there last time he was on. Max Mayfield is very concerned the storm surge will go all the up where Leventhal is.
