Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

Maybe the two are related?
'preciate it!
:o)
You aren't alone in those thoughts............
You be alert.
Are you going to have much rain from this?
A key to deciphering aviation meterological data is here:

Blanco acts like some who crashes their Geo Metro and wants the insurance company to replace it with a BMW.
WDSU-
Flooding now in St. Bernhard from levee failure...
Levees being undercut in other places now....
I am so glad you are all right! Everyone has been worried about you! Take care!
You say that like it's a bad thing...
Keep in mind that we don't know if my Grandpa's barometer here is properly calibrated, but as a relative measurement, it has fallen four points since this morning. It had been reading 984mb since I dug it out last night through this morning, now at 980mb.
No rain here yet, lots of wind.
It would appear that Eaker and family have me outgunned... barely. That's no small feat.
Eaker, if you get more than a few dozen or so looters, send some my way. I want my share too.
I guess it could be both possibilities.

Thanks for posting this link to the story about soldiers experiencing weird spiritual stuff in NO. Things that make you go, "Hmmmmm!" Especially the two Bibles being open to the same passage in Revelations about the flood.
Maybe we can get Spielberg and crew to airbrush out the guns and put radios in their hands ala E.T.
Or maybe daisies or something. Could be they're holding kudzu to restrain the looter or something - or they're handing him some sort of empowering literature and making him feel better about what he's doing with his life.
It is widely believed, here in LA, that she was elected, but it is her HUSBAND who is the 'Governor'. Both stink. She got in because of the Edwards crowd who wanted a Cajun governor again, and the ignoramuses who didn't want Jindal because of his ethnicity.
Blanko is flakier than Kelloggs.
She's a dim-witted Cajun mawmaw who couldn't run a local garden club.
To call her inept is too flattering.
That is way too funny.
We are all with you and please know that prayers are heading your way... our love and comfort to your Grandmother...
Blessings... Let us know you are OK....
Blanco is probably thinking, "Cool, this means I get to go on Oprah again."
