"For three Mars summers in a row, deposits of frozen carbon dioxide near Mars' south pole have shrunk from the previous year's size, suggesting a climate change in progress....The camera has recorded seasonal patterns of clouds and dust within the atmosphere over the entire planet. In addition, other instruments on Mars Global Surveyor have provided information about atmospheric changes and year-to-year patterns on Mars as the mission has persisted. "
NASA denies that the Mars rovers have contributed to greenhouse gases in the Martian atomosphere which is leading to a pattern of global warming as seen on Earth. It is expected that environmental groups will protest United States use of vehicles on Mars (there are more U.S. vehicles on Mars than the combined total of all of the other nations have launched to the planet) and call for treaties to institute interplanetary guidelines attempting to reverse this trend.

The suggestion that the shrinking of Mars polar cap may result from natural occurances or from a general increase in energy output is rejected by many critics of the U.S. environmental policy. These critics point to the fact that such polar melting was not noted before the landing of U.S. exploration vehicles, and thus may well have been the triggering mechanism. Such global warming on Mars threatens the fragile ecosystem and may endanger all Martian life (assuming there is any).

Well well, the same mechanisms that warm Mars could be warming Earth. Say, ohh,...THE SUN!
Nah, cant be. Variable energy output from the sun over thousands of years?
Why thats...thats.. just crazy talk!

Of course, there's the (I think) wild idea from one Richard C. Hoagland suggesting that because our Solar System is moving through a certain point in hyperdimensional space that all of the planets are warming up....

I fervently believe we should send all our most prominent environmentalists to Mars to launch a 10 year investigation. Perhaps longer.

I figured it out. Because of the global warming here on earth, it is increasing the amount of solar radiation hitting other planets.
And, it's Bush's fault.

Well, Bush should just push the Sun back a few feet to moderate temperature. Sheesh...he's the President of the United States. He should be able to do that. John Kerry would have done that, and he would have done it better!
