From a transcript of a news conference given today by Curt Weldon, he said: The first week the story broke in the New York Times, I was in Pennsylvania that Friday doing district work and I got a call at my office. My chief of staff took the call, and it was from a person I’d never met in my entire life. I’d never mentioned her name. She was on vacation and asked my chief of staff for me to call her back.

Her name was Jamie Gorelick.

Wow. Read the whole thing.

Her name was Jamie Gorelick. I said, “What does she want, Russ? I don’t know the woman.” I said, “I’m tied up. Would you please call her back and ask her what she wants?” Russ called her back on her cell phone. She was on vacation. And her response to my chief of staff was, “Please tell Congressman Weldon I’ve done nothing wrong.”

Funny ....my kids will tell me the same thing before I discover something big is wrong.

Weldon mentioned this call from Gorelick a few weeks ago on the Dom Giordano Show (1210AM - Philadelphia). He said she called his office out of the blue to tell him, Weldon, that she had "done nothing wrong". That was the message she left. Which, of course, REALLY surprised and confused Weldon because he had never accused Gorelick of anything at all and in fact had not even given her a whole lot of thought.

So naturally, her call made him quite suspicious.
What was that line from Shakespeare? "Thou doth protesteth too much."

THAT will be up to history to decide. IMO, history will not be kind to Clinton and Gorelick.

Good work! Able Danger is not going to be for the weak of mind. The timeline is going to be critical.

Especially, after the report in NYPost about a possible AlQaeda attack in Yemen: i.e.: The USS Cole three weeks before the bombing.

Jamie Gorelick was not only deputy attorney general of the United States under Clinton, a position she assumed in March 1994 and held until 1997; but from May 1993 until she joined the Justice Department, Gorelick also served as general counsel of the Department of Defense. These dates are not relevant except possibly to point out that Gorelick was familiar with and worked in the DoD.

I am hoping all this heat of Weldon's provides some illumination on this creepy affair, with heavy on the hope. We have been burnt so many times with the smoking gun scenario which disintegrates into nothingness.
