It used to be that a charge of racism was a dart which always hit its intended target. The recipient would swiftly and permanently suffer the stigma without being able to defend himself. There is now so much evidence to the contrary that the charge itself is beginning to boomerang on the dart thrower, IMHO.

I've been close attention to this matter, as a lot of us have, and there is a lot of information in here that I did not know.
It also explains, specifically, why the feds were PROHIBITED by law, from acting in New Orleans, until the Governor signed a specific request for help.

Oh, but it WAS racism that was the cause of all this misery. The racism that says "You'll never be able to handle life in this country without the government giving you all the basics." This fostered the mindset of dependence on the government and the support of a political party that pushes this ideology and overlooks all manner of corruption in order to acquire and maintain power. In plantation times, this racism was well-represented in the phrase "We treat our darkies GOOD."
And why are virtually all of the relief volunteers - not those in uniform - white?
How would those in the government even know what races were not evacuated?
Do they have ESP? Plenty of white folks were in need.
As we've all come to expect, Peggy Noonan's article is dead on.
This does not count contributions of time and money by communities throughout the country who organized convoys of trucks full of donated supplies. The dollar value of this kind of assistance will never be known, but it is surely substantial.
Everytime I hear her speak or read her words, I am impressed. I really like this lady!
People like Jackson and his clowns love to jump on the race train EVERY time they want attention. America rallied in to help with food, donations and homes for these lazy bastards who thrive on welfare. We, as taxpayers, DO NOT OWE them a damn thing. Our people from back in the biblical days were enslaved too. He, as a Reverend, should know this. Do we use this as an excuse to bilk the money out of America? No. Do we use this as an excuse to steal? No. How a frigging Hurricane can be deemed as racist is so stupid it is beyond belief. If that is all these black activists are seeing, then they are even more stupid than we once thought.
