How come they are able to insert for the record media stories which we all agree sometimes don't state facts truthfully, instead of real statistics by Doctors, the CDC or others?
Reagan must be turning in his grave.

I have to say this. I can't watch these hearings. I've NEVER been able to watch congressional hearings. I couldn't watch watergate, or Iran-contra. I thought I wasn't sufficiently interested, or maybe I didn't understand politics. Now I realize that these people bloviate so much that you have to wait 15 or more minutes for them to even so much as mention the topic at hand.
Could it be that they do this intentionally so as to make their proceedings completely inscrutable to any but the most arcane politico-junkies? Naaaah, they just think somebody cares.
Also -- when I was younger, if I heard some babe was dating a politician? She went way down in my estimation. Like Linda Rondstadt dating moonbeam. Couldn't respect her after that. Why would anyone date a politician except another pol or shall we say a "political gardening tool?"

Find-Gold now moving on to the death penalty. Only after detouring back to the AIDS casual contact memo from the 80's. I don't understand what the heck that has to do with anything.

America reacts to the Democrats' extra round of interrogation:
To: gopwinsin04
Hatch and some Republicans have given back some of their questioning time back to the chair this morning to speed the hearing along. Having the Dems go one after another really demostrates and makes more visible their desperation.
