The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Feingold just struck out again, and again said let's move on.

Pretty soon he'll be out in the hall closet with the janitors.

Feingold is making a fool of himself and is either not listening to what Roberts said .. or Feingold is purposely not paying attention

How would you like to have Dickie Turbin as one of your Senators? Couple that with the ever-eloquent rising star Barrak Obama. Lord help Illinois!

I personally like his answers on Stare Decisis. Basically, all he is saying is that he respects judicial precedents and will give due consideration to them. That doesn't mean that he would blindly follow them. Both he and John Kyle agreed that settled caselaw can be overruled as new circumstances come to light.

In other words, he'll start out by treating Roe v. Wade as settled law, and then proceed to tear it to shreds with other arguments. After all, Plessy v. Fergusan was settled law for 58 years before it was overturned by Brown v. Board of Education.

They have been at him for 8 hours now and he has at least another 1 1/2 to go. I see they saved Schumer for near the end when he is getting tired.

Even at that, he will wipe the floor with Schumer.

WHY IS HE TALKING SO FAST??????

For the same reason Alan Colmes does--he hopes if he speaks really quickly, he can make a bunch of unsupported assertions and then move on before the other person can correct him.

No, neither of the above. Feingold is an actual idiot. Period. And a pompous one at that. (It appears I'm repeating myself. I hope the rest of the country sees what a waste of skin Feingold is. What an idiot.

Brian Wilson & Chris Wallace and Brit are of the understanding the Dems may back off Roberts ... they seem to agree that the Dems know this is a lost battle with Roberts and are rethinking their plans and to now go after the President's next pick

The Dim senators may know this, but MoveOn, PFAW and the rest of the crazies will never acknowledge that, and will be foaming at the mouth enraged by the Dims' inability to lay a glove on Roberts. They will flay these senators alive, and demand they go all out to destroy him.

And what choice will the Dims have? They hack off the Michael Moore/Cindy Sheehan crowd, all their fund raising dries up overnight. We'll be seeing some true gutter tactics in the coming days as they get increasingly desperate.
