The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Roberts can't be beaten, they know it. The next nominee is in for a bloodbath though.

LOL, Moose just said that Schumer must be in a back room honing his questions.

I suspect that Schumer is trying to find out how many ways he can mention himself in every sentence.

They need to come up with some Zinger-type sound bites, or this comes off as DEM defeat and surrender....

The DU crowd is already screaming for some of these DEMS heads, because they aren't "Partisan" enough as it is!!!

Not if the White House plays it right.. everyone thought this would be a bloodbath....but the White House neutered the DEMS.

"The dims left their posts earlier. FNC saying Schummer has not been seen at all."

Hmmm. What do you make of this? My take is that, as I expected, Roberts is just too much for them. Too much intellect, too much integrity of character, too much honesty, too much man.

Here's a test question, which comes first and where

Life,
Liberty,
The Persuit of Happiness?

Not the Liberty to take life to make you happy.

Geez, those words sound familiar...hmmm, where could those have come from?

In case you're not a citizen (and haven't yet internalized the wonderful history of this country), or went to UC Berkeley, let me give you a quicker route:

Thank you. I'll read his bio during the break. I can't tell you in words how utterly magnificently Sessions used his time. WOW! Totally impressed.

.....I'm not fighting Roberts nomination. I oppose his position on Romer v Evans........

And just what was Roberts' position on Romer? He neither argued the case nor adjudicated it. He played Scalia in a moot court situation.

I think it's tough to infer his position from the role he played.

I'm afraid the dummies are hardely noticing the Roberts confirmation hearings, or anything else. They are still wrapped up in TAKING CHIMP DOWN over Katrina.
