Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

They must think theyre scoring points. They're wrong.
Only their debased base can be proud of Kennedy and Biden.

I loved that Judge Roberts pointed out that he has three sisters that work out side of the home, that he married a lawyer that works outside of the home, and has a daughter whom he would hope would have the same opportunities as his son. Back at ya, you stupid Dimrats!

The Democrats ARE fools!

Telephone numbers up on cspan now. The moonbat brigade claiming to be disenchanted Republicans will be flooding the lines now.

Roberts is confounding the asses on the panel.....and stated the Supreme Court should not be the remedy for social ills. That's just what I wanted to hear.BUMP

The Supreme Court's ruling in Romer was appalling, but I don't fault Roberts. He was just doing moot court work within his law firm when he was assigned to ask some tough questions to the litigants.

He spent 3 freaking hours on it, he did not condone it, just gave an opinion on strategy! God! A lawyer that defends a murderer or rapist does not endorse murder or rape. Let's think like adults, eh?

>>>>With all due respect you are panicking over nothing. We do not want activist judges of any stripe. Roberts embodies that. Throw him under the bus, who would you appoint?Panicking? LOL Stop creating something that doesn't exist. OTOH. I don't believe a nomination to the USSC is "nothing". You do. So be it.
>>>>Throw him under the bus, who would you appoint?
LOL I already said that I believe Roberts will be approved by the Senate. So you can stop trying to create false realities. While you're at it, I suggest you take a course in reading comprehension. It will help you in debate on FR.

I don't think Roberts rises to the level of a Scalia, Thomas or even a CJ Rehnquist. And you base that on what?
Time will tell.
I DO know what Bush's intent was in nominating him, he stated it very clearly for the last 5 years.
It's Bush's opinion that counts, he made the choice knowing Souter is his fathers biggest regret.
I'm gonna trust W, why not?

Wow! Local talk radio in Indianapolis just went ballistic over Biden! People are calling in outrage! Calling him treasonous and crooked and every name n the book! The host is HIGHLY critical of Biden, and speaks of him with contempt.
Host says Biden isn't treasonous, but he is disloyal to the country and a rude gas bag. HA! Says the Plagiarist and the Swimmer aren't fit to ask Roberts questions.
I think Biden did his party no favors here in the Midwest.

Yes, Roberts is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO evil (how evil is he?) that he wants his sisters, wife and daughters to don burkas and be relegated to the back of the bus. No voting for them!

That is where the mainstream media branch of the Democrat Party comes in handy. They're already spinning away for the Dims. The top of the hour radio news flatly stated that Roberts is "sidestepping" the questions. Biden and Schumer are whining about how Roberts' answers are evasive and how he's not answwering questions. The liberal meme is obviously, "he's not cooperating with the Senators by fully and honestly answering the questions. He's trying to hide something. Why is that?"
