The Red Cross never launched its relief effort in the city. The national president of the American Red Cross, Marsha Evans, first made the request to undertake the operation during a visit to the state on September 1, three days after Hurricane Katrina struck, a local Red Cross chapter official said. p>

Maybe they're finally getting tired of hiding the truth, which Fox News Aruba usually ends up broadcasting.

IMHO, my cynical opinion, is knowing that Demoicrats see their opportunity in our misery, this is quite likely the exact truth.

Louisiana officials rebuffed American Red Cross requests to enter New Orleans with relief supplies last week because of concerns over logistical difficulties they wanted to have thousands of suffering people in front of the TV cameras while they blamed Bush.

The state held up the relief because of "logistical difficulties." When it was President Bush "holding up" the relief, it was because he wanted all the blacks in New Orleans to die.

CNN? I must be dreaming. Of course, they are putting their own spin on it. "Logistic" difficulties was the State officals telling the Red Cross they wanted the people OUT so they were NOT allowing food and water IN. It wasn't logistics it was policy. STATE OFFICALS cause the Race Baiters on the Hate-filled Left are trying REAL hard to ignore the fact that it was Louisana Department of Homeland Security officals by just saying "Homeland Security" in the hope people will think it was the Feds.

And now there is no way the Governot and Mayor will let the Red Cross anywhere near the area. At this point the gloves are off in NO. Some pretty nasty things are happening to the gang thugs that are left there. Many will just disappear. No way will the Mayor and Governot let the Red Cross in there to report back on what it is taking for the NOPD and National Guard to reclaim this city.

You're right. CNN glossed over and spun the fact that it was the policy not to let the Red Cross in with food, water, and supplies. Notice that the Superdome /Convention Center fiasco is not mentioned. Those people could have had water and food but it was policy not to do so for fear that more people would come to the Dome/ Covention Center. Of course, all blame Bush for this, right?

Lesson: Don't send money to the Red Cross, send it to the National Guard.

Only AFTER the story reached critical mass and grew its own legs.

I thought I saw and heard either Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton today state that Red Cross was told to back off by Homeland Security. I wonder if they had the story wrong or purposely tried to mislead people?

This is getting better all the time. Somebody needs to tell Governor Blanco that the prison jumpsuit might clash with her hairdo. On top of that, the only bracelets she'll be allowed to wear have locks on them.

You're right. When Major Garrett reported the facts. Same thing about the undeployed buses. Lou Dobbs got it right for a change. Then it started coming out on MSM.

send it to the National Guard.

Can we do this in ways other then paying taxes? Do they have their own relief fund or something? I would donate to the Guard in a heartbeat. I have watched in awe these last 10 days their dedication to duty and sheer ability to GET IT DONE! These are my kind of people.
