You're right. CNN glossed over and spun the fact that it was the policy not to let the Red Cross in with food, water, and supplies. Notice that the Superdome /Convention Center fiasco is not mentioned. Those people could have had water and food but it was policy not to do so for fear that more people would come to the Dome/ Covention Center. Of course, all blame Bush for this, right?

I think I detect how they are going to spin this embarrassing situation for the Louisiana State Homeland Security. They are going to say that they did not want relief workers to be put in jeopardy by the lawlessness going on in the city. They prevented their access in order to protect them from harm that was coming from the thug gangs.

It won't work.

In today's interview (Thursday, Sept. 8th), Major Garrett says that they were blocked right after the storm, too early for the thugs to mount security problems:

HH: Now Major Garrett, on what day did they block the delivery? Do you know specifically?

MG: I am told by the Red Cross, immediately after the storm passed.

HH: Okay, so that would be on Monday afternoon.
