Dershowitz came on the air and
call Chief Justice Rehnquist a thug. Both Mark Levin and Judge Napolitano who were equally disappointed in Dershowitz words and said so openly on the air. Hannity did not even thank him for coming on the show offering his thoughts on the passing of the Chief Justice.
Marks show is going to be a must on Tuesday.

So, do you think there exists the possibility that the NOPD just fired upon, possibly, innocent citizens just so the NOPD could make "bag claim"? Is this what you are suggesting?
NOPD tracked down, or saw 6 armed people walking across a bridge and just fired on 'em, say, Mai Lai style?

I don't understand why race is playing such a big role recently. In this instance, I think it's 100% irrelevant.
You could look like the Easter Bunny or ever a smurf, but you point your gun at a cop... *BANG*, 'yer D.E.D. dead.

The dems are sinking fast. People who aren't political junkies, like us, are seeing right through this.I think you are right. Yesterday at work, one of the lefties started in on the "Bush's slow response time" mantra. Before I could answer, one of the other lefties jumped up and said, "enough!" and proceeded to rant about how fringe loons are now the face of the Democrats, and how making foolish statements like makes them all look bad. She was always pretty smart. Shock and Awe in Flight Control, you could have heard a pin drop...

Has it occured to anyone that these guys on the bridge just might have been duck hunting? The season started the first of September, and it's not unusual to be birding on a wknd near NO. If this is the case, and it may not be, there's a lot of explaining to do.
At any rate, Louisiana has lots of hunters and sportsmen and it would be horrible for the police to confuse them with outlaws.

In the case there are good guys walking the streets armed, they are walking on "their" streets doing the job that their local government was not doing; Those citizens would in no way give a threatening signal to armed LEO's approaching their position. In fact they would likely give the armed LEO's an iced tea and a pat on the back for finally arriving. I hadn't heard that the guys were "guarding" the bridge and the LEO's approached, or if it was the other way around.
I do believe there is a cordon on the city, and even good guys, armed or not, are not permitted to leave of their own initiative. Those who persist in trying to leave will be dealt with so that the cordon is maintained.
