Nope. I do worry that the police may have jumped the gun and concluded that the situation was more dire than it actually was, because of lack of sleep, being emotionally overwhelmed, or just ordinary poor judgment.

By all accounts the New Orleans PD was in bad shape even before the disaster, and since then the psychological pressure of dealing with it has apparently been extreme. I think there are news reports on this site of some guys in the NOPD recently committing suicide, or simply walking off the job, and so on. It's a lot to take. People aren't at their best.
