Don't forget that her brother is Lt. Governor of that great state of LA.
Mary's on double duty damage control.
That would have been so simple!!!!!!
Right on. The Left is not attacking just Bush on this one. They are attacking the whole Conservative idea of limited Govt. The Dems, and their lap dog media, HONESTLY think this will let them take us all the way back to LBJ and the Great Society. Allow them to roll back 40 years of Conservative progress. So instead of screaming "Why doesn't Bush fight back" Conservatives BETTER be asking themselves WHAT AM I doing to fight back this assault. Not enough to just whine about OUR side anymore people actually have to help us ATTACK the other side if they believe at all in limited Govt.
Except they are conditioned that it is no point getting themselves educated they will still be second class citizens
Let me tell you exactly what is going to happen, because it is already starting. Democrats are deep, DEEP into another Wellstone moment. They have gone so far into the deep end, there is no getting back. You are going to see a voter backlash in 2006 like you have never seen before. We are going to get 60+ seats in the Senate.
Sometimes I think you people have no memories. This ALWAYS happens to Bush, and by the time the elections roll around, he sends the Democrats attacks right down their throats for them to choke on. Some of you forget that Bush has never lost to these idiots, and there is nothing happening to make anyone think its going to happen now.
Sure there is bad news happening, but I don't understand how so many of you seem surprised. Who DOESNT know that Tim Russert is a partisan hack? Who doesn't know that Mary Landreau is a no-nothing numbskull? Who doesn't know YET that the media are a bunch of left-wing sharks?
The question is: Who has ever, EVER got the best of this President?
This is sauce for the goose, people. Bush will win, he always does. Now KNOCK OF THE NEGATIVISM, dammit.
They're so out of their minds they are not credible.
The truth is on the internet and that picture on Drudge of the school buses lined up......went around the world.
Every thinking person knows the truth of why so many died in NO.
The truth is spelled NAGIN and BLANCO
Well, I thought Brown was a pretty intense guy. But InstaPundit linked to a guy named Brendan Loy who is a real credible expert on the hurricane and not a Bush hater.
He had some outrageous quotes from Brown that showed some disconnect to what was happening. Perhaps emotional exhaustion has set in.
Touche!!!
My take on what the legacy senator from Conn said. "We have to oppose anyone you appoint, we've been on the barricades for so long, we're just plumb tuckered out. give us a chance to catch our breath, besides we have internal polling that is telling us people are tired of our screetching and baseless opposition. And besides we have the hurricane effort to bash, don't send us anything more with which to deal."
Or something like that. Advice to the President. First thing Tuesday morning send up the name of a great conservative candidate, which you have had ready to go for some time.
You are so welcome. When CNN first arrived on the scene it was referred to as the Chicken Noodle Network. It then became the Clinton News Network and now it's just a has become Al Jazeera West.
Is that actually true? If so, then we have a textbook case of insurrection, and the President has his excuse to federalize and bypass the state government.
"Schumer just told George Step that O'Connor should stay as CJ for a year - Bush should ask her"
Right... and why is that? Just so they could delay another appointment confirmation into the next administration.

Oakwood Mall is on fire. Firemen attempting to put it out were fired on from the Westbank Expressway.
Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard ordered the firemen out and will let the Mall burn as a signal to President Bush.
Last night, Broussard held a press conference in which he said that apparently the only way to get aid from the US Government was to be a foreign country. So he was seceeding Jefferson Parish from the Union and requesting foreign aid from the neighboring United States.
None what so ever. However, our side too often is just willing to conceded the battle field. That is a mistake.
At least one or two did exactly that, when citizens took matters into their own hands.
As they/we should when lives are at stake and official processes are overwhelmed.
I can't imagine the country turning on the Pubs, no matter what happens on the Gulf Coast, although I'd appreicate input from Gulf Coasters outside of NO.
Those in NO who probably are most angered, are already voting Democratic. In fact, the Dems may have just lost a democratic stronghold. This will kill me if a storm derails W's bigger plans.
Who is Brown in the CNN report you mentioned?
He's thinking maybe they need to go "somewhere like Las Vegas that has lots of hotel rooms." FEMA isn't sure they can pay for that, so he told them, "Screw it, I'll pay for it and find the money somewhere."
Sheesh.
