FEMA is getting an earful from the man heading New Orleans' emergency operations.
Terry Ebbert says the federal agency's response to Katrina is "a national disgrace."
Ebbert says FEMA has been in the city for three days, but he says that has yet to result in any command and control. He says Mayor Ray Nagin has been "pushing and asking, but we're not getting any supplies."
The emergency chief says the evacuation of thousands from New Orleans to Texas has been "almost entirely" a Louisiana operation -- saying he hasn't seen "a single FEMA guy."
Because the Officials in LA are incompetent fools who aren't smart enough to admit they were in over there heads
So instead of asking for help .. they are blaming other people
Rudy for Pres.?
So he's gonna drop his support for homo-perves and abortion? Otherwise he won't get close enough to the nomination to smell it.
I think we need Rudi to go to NOLA RIGHT NOW!
Eff him and his 'Rat mayor and governor! They should have used the city's buses and Amtrak trains to round up the poor folks and evacuate the city ahead of time. Instead they stood around pulling their puds and blaming others. Sheer incompetence is what we have here on the part of the local 'Rats who were supposedly the ones best-suited to handle this.
For what party, Rhinocrat?
Parts of the nation are very prepared. NO is one of the cities which was not (Democrat city).
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Seriously, what does President Bush have to do with dropping water and food. He orders it and it should be done. He ordered it TWO DAYS BEFORE THE HURRICANE HIT! What else can he do? Please get a little perspective.
think I have finally figured out New Orleans' disaster plan:
1. Open up Superdome.
2. Call FEMA.
3. Sit on ass and wait for Feds to take care of everything.
HEY DUMBASS, why did YOU not set up a command center in the Superdome?

Thought it beared repeating.
And, The Looosiana Govmint aint s**t!
Balls cannot get perspective. It's obvious he has been swept into the hysterical media vortex.
Sounds familiar - like Richard Clarke blaming W for 9-11 although he was the anti-terrorism czar for 8 years. He too did his job well...
Although you must give Terry Ebbert some credit for his service - retired Marine Col., two purple hearts. Seems that he should have been able to do better and is probably very frustrated. I think the entire system in NO and LA have let them down.
Well, consider the source....look at what the City of NOLA has contributed, and look at what FEMA has brought to the party.
I don't believe this.
First of all, I thought Incidence of National Significance was implemented? Am I wrong?
If it was, then the Mayor nor the Governor is no longer in charge.
WHEN they were in charge, I can only tell you without a link that buses were sent in from other areas to assist with evacuations; but they had no help in receiving refugees. None were brought to meet the buses.
Since, Incidence of National Significance was implemented, if I understand this correctly, evacuations have occurred from FEMA, NG, Cost Guard and DHS.
Here is an excerpt I posted this evening.

Hello balls. I was just about to scratch you. How did you get an FR account? I never even felt you leave my pants.
His job is to make it happen, that's what we pay him for! If it is not already obvious, I'm mad as hell at this state of affairs.
In a perfect world that is the way it works. When you get a city staff full of minorities running it, "quality control" breaks down tremendously. No racism here, just facts...look at every major city in the US...
What you are seeing is dems are ruthless they don't care how many of their loyal supporters die, but the republicans are too damn timid to call them out on this. Dems will gladly hamper the federal effort, do nothing, watch people die and blame the feds. Hell, that's what they do in normal times.
