Posted on 08/31/2005 5:54:43 PM PDT by rfmad
Reports are the pipelines from LA to AL,MS,GA,NC,VA, all the way to NY are at very low capacity. Is you area out of gas yet or being rationed? What are you hearing? This will be very helpful for those who are traveling in the near future.

By 2:00 Wed afternoon, gas prices in our small town jumped 40 cents to a dollar (maybe even more in Atlanta). This created a panic, long lines, and gas stations running out.

Prices most of today in Edison and Iselin NJ were in the $2.70 to $2.90 range for regular, but one early-moving station raised regular to $3.19 tonight around 9 p.m., and the place I filled up at around that time said that their prices would be $3.09 or higher by tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

I saw on FOX some station in Atlanta charging $5.87 ???(I think they call that gouging)
and the guy across the street was $4 something...
I meant to call the relatives in Hotlanta but it got too late.
I paid $2.57 Monday in Orange County,CA
It's gone up forty cents since then...
I think we'll hang out here at the beach for Labor Day...LOL

Here in Ballentine, SC, we paid $3.17 at the local Shell station. Regular was $2.99, but there wasn't any to be had.You might have paid for premium but I betcha regular is what you got. That's an OLD trick!

thanks for the link...
I fully expect gas prices to be over $3.00 after last night- I'll check it out when I'm out and about today.

Prices most of today in Edison and Iselin NJ were in the $2.70 to $2.90 range for regular, A real eye opener for me yesterday was the two RT 206 gas stations I always thought were the most competive/cheapest pricing wise were over $3.00 last night - but I found gas at less than that at a BP and Shell staion ...
I couldn't believe the lines at the gas stations either.
