When I bought my townhouse in 1989, the VA interest rate was 10.25%.

AAAAH! We're all gonna die! Buddhist monks are setting themselves on fire and blind children are being tossed around like playthings in front of my house as we speak!

But glad here I refueled at $2.67/gal in Toledo on Sunday. At school thankfully and going to be doing a great deal of walking for quite some time.

Guess I gotta cut back on driving myself - after tommorrow. A girlfriend just called and needs a ride to work - about a 100 mile round trip.

A representative for the WV petroleum distributors association said they only keep a 3-4 day supply of gas.

Many stations on the I-64 Corridor between Huntington and Charleston WV are plumb out of gas.

My kids are actually excited. They think that if the price of gas goes too high, it will be too expensive to run the school buses and therefore school will be cancelled.

Actually, supply may be the problem. Someone told me today that the Gwinnett County school system did not recieve their allotment and do not expect to do so for the next several days. (unconfirmed, of course)

Those dumba$$es did the same thing in Miami, an rumor started on the Internet that there was no more gasoline and that ALL gas stations will shut down at midnight. To follow was a stampede at the gas pumps, long lines and people passing around the same stupid story.

FOX News showed a BP station in Atlanta that sells gas for $5.89 per gallon. Clearly price gauging.

BTW if you notice any price gauging going on you can report the gas station to the department of energy.

If there's money to be made, refiners will gladly step up (just may take a few extra days).

Yes my decision matters. What is the bottom line? We all want to spend as little money as possible. Therefore, it would be foolish to spend 10,000 upfront on a depreciating car to save $400 a year in fuel cost. It really does not matter how many gallons you are allowed a week. Hybrids are worthless for now..
