"I am in total agreement."
You're also wrong. When gas prices go up, the stores that don't raise their prices lose money they will need to restock. With the higher prices coming, they're going to need that extra "profit" to stay in business.

I agree with you 100%. I thank God every day that he is our president. He had much dumped on his lap when he took office and has had to deal with more than any other president in recent history has had to deal with during his term. He took charge and is doing his best for us. He has a lot on his plate.
I may not always agree with everything he does, but I trust him completely to keep us safe. God Bless President Bush!

His speech told me exactly what they are doing to deal with this catastrophe. It's what I want to hear and I came away in tears thinking what a great and amazing country we live in!!!
Right there with you. I, too, particularly liked President Bush's comments. Brevity, eloquence, and directness far outweigh a lengthy focus bemoaning tragedy in terms of acknowledging the circumstance and stirring confidence among the citizens to overcome that circumstance. A read of President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address should make that clear.

Maybe Bush should sign an EO allowing one formulation for a minimum of one year..
Through the middle of September won't do much good at all..
Prez can tell enviro whackos to FOAD, and act...

lol...harsh...but deserved...he really talks like a losing NFL coach in the middle of an 0-14 season...Fortunately for him, the team he "coaches" and the fans that follow "his team" are as clueless as they are. If he were a football coach, the fans would be screaming for his head on a pike. But, he's a Democrat mayor.

The President has been on top of this disaster from the word "go". The mayor on the other hand has been busy with photo-ops, interviews with CNN, and bashing Bush at every opportunity.

"The President has been on top of this disaster from the word "go". The mayor on the other hand has been busy with photo-ops, interviews with CNN, and bashing Bush at every opportunity."New Orlean's mayor isn't even in New Orleans...much less doing his job by actually overseeing, personally, the relief effort at the Superdome.

He was a little flat. I think the people would be more than willing. He has to ask.Disagree. I will however say that the mayor of NOLA and the governor of LA have been flat-footed throughout this whole fiasco. Hindsight will show they both could have ceased the moment for a little glory, score some political points, yet they both voluntarily refused the opportunity by being incompetant and lazy.
