Hey I was in Hialeah Sat. morning and saw five bucket trucks with huge booms led by three Hialeah police cars, call it what you want.
Still shaking my head over this one...
Yesterday.

...but does that mean that if the evacuation has ended you have to go ahead and take the vacation on the bare remaining floor slab where the condo used to be?
The Philadelphia Project, no doubt.
They're under curfew at Gulf Shores tonight.
I am still trying to find an actual story on it. It was a report on our local TV here, my wife said it was also reported on TV earlier today, and I have seen a few mentions on forum --- BUT still no confirmation, and like you I find it hard to believe they can't find a Battleship.
I was active duty in the USCG when Andrew hit, I flew in less than 12 hours after Andrew passed and stayed in the area for two weeks afterward. These things you "heard" did not happen. ORRRR, maybe I'm in on it too.

Spiff's map w/FReeper locations is great. Prayers continue for all. We have a few days til it visits here in NE Ohio & will just be rain.
CNN reporter says that Ward 9 is totally flooded - houses are mostly 1 story - water up to the roofs. (this is west of New Orleans and I-10 is completely under water)
So how are the dark forces of NOAA keeping things quiet among the hundreds or thousands of people that must "know?"
If you come forward, Max Mayfield puts on a black Ninja outfit and sneaks into your home at night and garottes your family?
He did look stupid...
