Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. Thousands of people did not evacuate New Orleans. Outer bands of Katrina are reaching the Louisiana coast.
Due to the size and intensity of this storm, all interests in the North Gulf of Mexico should be in their safe locations.

Geraldo ... {{click}} ... channel surfing
By the time you died in the Superdome, the people around you certainly wouldn't be strangers!
The NO local TV station reporters just asked the Baton Rouge station reporters which route to take out of NO. I am NOT making this up.
Capone's vault.
All that was missing from his opening statement was a mention of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
I have no response to that.
***Hershey kisses and potato chips....yummy, try them together..***
Been doin' that for years. Even better with cheap gin.
The idiot mayor of NO is a DemocRat, isn't he ? No comment ...
We've been waiting for him to show up. I'm streaming WWL in NO. The reporter said it took her 7 hrs to get to Baton Rouge (normally 1 hr trip) even by avoiding the interstate.
Matthews is doing just that, saying, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, Bush, which is why Chris was brought in.
Internet feed for WDSU in NO just went out...could be traffic or electricity...?
Thank you- this is an EXCELLENT description.
WOW- are you listening to Max Mayfield now on FOX? He said there is now no doubt this will be worse than Camille..
Geraldo on FoxNews now. He puts the "unctuous" in unctuous. Did you hear his opening? Cliches on top of cliches. I thought for a minute he was going to end it with "It is a dark and stormy night."
I dont think he wrote that..I saw something like it on Drudge.
Empty tampon box.
Prayers for everyone in the path.
Well if it hit just to the east of NO, they catch a huge break since hurricanes are much stronger on the eastern side plus wind direction wont have as much an impact on storm surge. Mobile is in big trouble if it hits too far to the east though. Best case scenario is for it to weaken and hit about 20 miles to the east of NO. Pray.
You know, that song was bigger in Europe than it was here, and it was huge here.
Can you imagine it? Those down South blues being sung by EU types who didn't even know what a levee is?
Love it. Still have it.
HOly, Dan Rather, Batman!!! Brian Williams outside, in a hurricane....their ratings MUST be in the toilet!
You were saying?
