So, it is TIME FOR A ROLL CALL. All gulf coast FReepers please check in if you can. Tell us your status and stay safe. Some of you are still in the path of this storm and some are probably in the thick of it right now.
Rock and roll.
As per local accuweather: http://wwwa.accuweather.com/forecast-current-conditions.asp?partner=townnews&myadc=0&traveler=1&zipcode=39182&metric=0
Branches are falling, wind is only 32 mph with moderate rain, temperature at 76 degrees with the real feel at 71 degrees. :)
I am shutting down to take a nap *smile* and hope I can get back on line a little later. I think this might be the worst we'll get and it's nothing to complain or worry about.
Prayers and best wishes for the less fortunate.

Awesome job.
Thank you, thank you.
I;m in Auburn, AL. We're having the outside bands. We've had two tornados touch down already and sporadic rain is expected throughout the evening and night. So far so good (as the man said falling past floor 24 of a 27 story building).
I just got out of class today (at Ole Miss)(Southern Miss and MS State did not have classes today). The rain is starting to come down and it is starting to get breezy in Oxford.
I just got off the phone with my parents in Petal, MS. They said it is really bad there. Dad said parts of the roof were blowing off and the house was starting to leak in parts and blew a tree over in the backyard.
I am in school with a lot of people have houses on Highway on the beach. I'm sure that they are all flooded. I feel so sorry for them. As bad as it is in Petal, I can only image having a beachhouse.
Thanks for the wonderful map - you're a genius!
I have a cousin in Folsom and an elderly aunt in Covington. Do you know if anyone on here has heard from these areas?
I've been unable to get through by phone and am getting very worried. (How's that for an understatement?)
ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just spoke with my Father-in-Law in Lutcher, they are OK! They have power, and even TV. Unbelievable. The phone circuits have been down/busy until tonight.
He is 93, and re-married when he was 70. His wife's oldest son is from Metairie; they are not letting folks back in until Monday. It looks bad for them at their house, but they were with the folks in Lutcher and are all OK.
Thank God for His protection for them, and may His mercy be with all those who are hurting tonight.
