Semantics.

Mexicans are mestizos...metis in the French parlance.
They're almost all part Indian, and the ones who immigrate to the US in particular are quite heavily Indian by blood.

Granted, their not of the same tribes as originally peopled North America, but of Mexican tribes. But their Amerindians nonetheless.

Just look at the Mexican immigration into N. America as the repopulation of the region by the Indians, and you'll do fine.

I believe you are referring to the book Forbidden Archeology... written by Michael Cremo. Which reminds me, I need to ask my father to return it so I can read it again! LOL

Interesting book...

Did they use carbon dating for "prove" the age of these footprints? If so...

(snip)

You should have read the article before "debunking" a process that they didn't use. From the article:

"The footprints were analyzed and dated by a team of international scientists using laser technology."

Mexicans ARE Indians, paleface.

Didn't we settle this argument when the mexican guy was cast in the Voyager role of Chakotay, which was SUPPOSED to be a Native American?

I am not exactly sure where you got that idea.

So sorry chum. No matter if we arrive 5 minutes before you did, the treaties would still be good.

Consider it a test.

Both prints look a bit weird. The one is just toes and heal. If toes and heal are there where is the rest of the print? Also the toes seem to be in a straight line. The other print is weird too. It looks globby in a sort of unexplainable way.

But my point remains intact. Many highly capable scientists claim the accuracy of the various geochronological dating methods is dubious. They also claim that none of the dating methods are consistent with one another, beyond a few thousand years.

What really troubles me about the whole thing is that the evolutionists advance their "discoveries" and theories as though it's indisputable proof of their conclusions, when in fact there is much dispute amongst scientists regarding the age of the earth and the various dating methods. But the msm, public school texts and university professors make no mention of these serious disagreements and debates within the scientific community, (which tends to make it all the more questionable).

Hey, I just thought I would throw some sarcasm into this issue and look what it's got to. Go figure. Everybody seems so uptight about race. Is it because there is a full moon?

No.. Laser dating..
Additionally, in the following excerpt from the article, it is pointed out that the footprints were found in volcanic ash after 6 to 10 feet of sediment were removed..

There is probably a greater liklihood that these footprints belong to Whitey Bulger than to a man who lived 40,000 years ago.

No... These people take such dating very seriously..
Their professional reputation depends upon it..

--------------------------------------------------------

Gonzalez said the footprints were preserved as trace fossils in volcanic ash along what was the shoreline of an ancient volcanic lake.
"Climate variations and the eruption of the Cerro Toluquilla volcano caused lake levels to rise and fall, exposing the Xalnene volcanic ash layer," Gonzalez said.
She said the footprints, which were preserved when water levels rose, were now as hard as concrete and had been uncovered without excavation after quarry workers removed 6 to 10 feet (2 to 3 meters) of lake sediment that had been deposited on top of the volcanic ash layer.
The footprints were analyzed and dated by a team of international scientists using laser technology.

Prove it..
Where's your source?
There may have been questions and controversy 40 years ago, but there isn't much, if any in the present..
Questions of accuracy have been answered...
Improvements in technology, accuracy of measurements, reductions in the amount of sample material required, and additional processes, tools and techniques have made any such arguments moot..

Your argument holds no water...

How do they know the human was 40,000 years old at the time he left the footprints?

There was a 40,000 year old Taco Bell receipt near it.
