Here's the more detailed plans for our event in Crawford on SATURDAY, AUGUST 27.
I have been in contact with the organizer of the Move America Forward Caravan Planner. We decided that the best place to meet up with the caravan is in Waco. We can meet in the WalMart parking lot at the intersection of I-35 and Lake Shore. That is on the west side of I-35.
I would suggest that if you plan to follow the caravan in from Waco, that you be at the parking lot no later than 11:45--they may be running later, but won't be there any earlier. If you can't or don't want to follow the caravan in, then come on over to Crawford
The last I heard, the caravan folks had not gotten a permit for a place to gather. I went ahead and got one for us--just to make sure we had a place. If they get one, and we don't need the one I have, I will cancel it. Unless he changes it, Police Chief Donnie has put us in the same place we were last time--only we have both sides of the stadium this time, and MAYBE the stadium itself. He is checking on that.
We have our permit from 9AM-5 PM, and I plan to arrive by 9AM.
Please help me ping everyone who was on the other thread--and add anything to this one that is pertinent and that I have forgotten, please.
It's the Saturday following this coming Saturday -- I'm gonna plan to be there!

I hope ya get to be there. I thought they were planning something this weekend, too. My bad.
If you get lost, ask any Crawfordian for directions to the "Civic Center" or the high school stadium, and you will find us.
I'm the world's worst on directions, and I didn't drive last time, so wasn't paying attention. Just know that it's almost impossible to get lost in Crawford.
I'm sure others will chime in with clearer directions--but look for the flags! That will be a clue--LOL!
Start making plans.

Awesome! I sure had a blast this past weekend, and look forward to the one on the 27th. It would be absolutely terrific if we could get the stadium.

They have moved from the public right of way to a private ranch. Unless there is another ranch nearby willing to allow US to meet on their property, we have to meet over at the stadium. (How many "public spaces" can a town the size of Crawford have???)

Also, I don't know for sure, but I imagine that the Cavolade will at some point travel past their camp, and we can join them for that.

Bring plenty of water. There is a coffee shop there also.
