Question:
Ignoring all legal issues....
Would you care/object if your children's teacher was openly (not flaming) gay?
Would it make any difference if the gay teacher was male or female?
Would it make any difference if the gay person taught elementary, middle school or high school?
You are attacking me without knowing me at all. If you read even a sampling of my comments on FR, you'd know that your comments are waaaay off target.
It sounds to me as though you are willing to turn a blind eye to that reality of the "gay" agenda - for reasons known only to yourself.
You accused me of being sanctimonious.
Prove it.
Sanctimonious:
1) Affecting piousness
2) Hypocritically devout
(Webster's Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary)
bump
Im joining this thread a little late.
A) Overall I'd be as much concerned about the hetero perv
B) My objection at this present time to having a gay teacher of either sex is the militant organization of this group overall and the in your face here I am attitude. I have seen this many times. Not positive for a classroom
My children have had gay/lesbian teachers since pre school. My daughter is a straight/Southern-Gentleman-appreciating high achiever who finds the gay/les lifestyle amusing in the way they force it on us. My son, well, I can't tell you the jokes he tells about it.
Sorry Moderman, I can prove you wrong on that statement. I'm an alcoholic who has been sober for over ten years and I have absolutely no desire to have a drink.
I was an alcoholic and I have had no desire to drink alcohol for many years.
I was a cigarette, marijuana and hashish smoker and have LESS than no desire to smoke anything.
I was wildly promiscuous and have no desire to ever act in that way again.
What else? Let's just say there's more vices I could add to the list.
I will admit I have had a couple of moments such as "Gosh, LSD used to be fun" but my native intelligence would never allow me to ingest that again. I was offered some a number of years ago and although I thought about it for 10 seconds, I couldn't even make myself swallow it if I had decided to.
Why screw up what God has done?
LOL Wake up call...
Your false charity is not appreciated -to modifyingly paraphrase: remove the sequioa from your eye before attempting to berate another... I read your BS and passed on responding; however, now you attack little jeremiah in addition to spewing your BS... -only those that have no clue would consider your position on homosexuality to have any basis in Christianity -those that have no clue I would worry might be led astray by a false prophet such as yourself. You are either ignorant, a tool, or corrupted yourself -either way you claim to champion Christ yet spit in His face...
If I am wrong about the perverted version of Christianity you peddle -feel free to correct me with Sacred Scripture. Meanwhile here is some stuff to ponder that flies in the face of your homosexual grandstanding...
16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
17 so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
9 Anyone who is so "progressive" as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your house or even greet him;
11 for whoever greets him shares in his evil works.
17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
18 Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
You may know some of what I post; however, I post it anyway just in case you genuinely are seeking answers and also for those that may not know and would benefit from both leraning and avoiding your errant words.
New Testament: Sacred Scripture on subject of homosexuality:
- Matthew 5:1-48
17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
18 Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.
19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
- Matthew 15:1-39
19 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, unchastity, theft, false witness, blasphemy.
- 1 Timothy 1:1-20
8 We know that the law is good, provided that one uses it as law,
9 with the understanding that law is meant not for a righteous person but for the lawless and unruly, the godless and sinful, the unholy and profane, those who kill their fathers or mothers, murderers,
10 the unchaste, practicing homosexuals, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is opposed to sound teaching,
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
- 1 Corinthians 6:1-20
9 Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor practicing homosexuals
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.
- Romans 1:1-32
22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes.
24 Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts for the mutual degradation of their bodies.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
25 Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural,
26 and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity.
He can make people anew. My favorite story in the Bible is the Prodigal Son.
Thank you.
Rembrandt doesn't know me - I've been a-weeding for a while, lstill have a long way to go - but what other work is there, besides helping someone else learn which are the weeds, and what is the valuable plant to water? I read somewhere that we need to pull up the weeds (especially the weeds of envy, lust, anger, greed, and the like) and water the little plant of love for God, so it can grow and grow until, like a vine, it reaches the Kingdom of God and rests at His feet.
We all need to be gardeners.
Out of your list of sins, God calls one an abomination. And while all sin separates us from God, some sins have greater consequences including a long drawn out death.
What concerns many is that out of your list of sins
An openly gay teacher for grammar school or high school is verboten in my mind. In one the children are too young to be sexualized. In the other the kids are going through puberty and are impressionable. And there is that nasty chicken hawk problem. In college I have no problem as long as there is no recruitment or contact.
I knew if I didn't stop drinking I was gonna die and I also knew I did not have the strength to do it on my own.
I prayed to GOD to help me, give me strength a reason to quit and he did just that. I got a phone call the next day that my baby brother was in the hospital dying from a hole in his stomach caused by his drinking over a fifth a day.
I fell down on my knees and prayed again to GOD that if he saved my young brother that I would never drink again. Thankfully my brother hung on until I could get to him and actually improved some, enough to communicate.
I told him God didn't want him to die, God wanted he and me to stop drinking . He said he didn't want to die and he would never drink again.
We have both been sober for over ten years. I try not to let a day go by thanking God for saving us both.
I never claimed that there is such a thing as a gay gene. That is probably a massive oversimplification of what causes homosexuality.
Something can be biologically based but not caused by a particular gene.
Since science doesn't support your position, on what do you base your opinion?
Considering the flawed nature of the studies you rely upon, forgive me if I take your "science" with a grain of salt.
Gay Homosexual Teacher Question for Freepers (Vanity),
Question:

You seem to almost get it. Sin of any kind is evil -EVEN homosexual activity... I suggest you read and adopt Sacred Scripture rather than make up your own version of feel good BS. Additionally, personally attacking me does not address your severely flawed perversion of Christianity... "Sin no more" is a pretty important aspect you seem to omit... In addition to implying homosexual activity is okay and 'love' you seem to think the unapologetic homosexual that you should be correcting can continue in sin and with your blessing all is well -The religion you practice is not Christianity...
You can complain all you want about the science Dr. Spitzer found compelling, so compelling that he completely changed his mind that ex-gays really do exist. And you can try to misrepresent my position and try to dodge the issues, but what you appear to be saying is that you don't have any science to support your position.
Like I said, I'm sure he is a decent, honorable man. But he has drawn conclusions based on faulty science. So his conclusions are therefore faulty.
And you can try to misrepresent my position and try to dodge the issues, but what you appear to be saying is that you don't have any science to support your position.
And neither do you. You are the one proposing the existence of ex-homosexuals. So far, you have provided no valid proof for that claim.
