The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

"If you think I am going to allow you another four years to do even more damage, then you truly are mistaken. I will fight for a true vote count and if that fails, your impeachment. Also, the impeachment of your Vice President. "
And THIS is what this so-called protest is all about

I only keep a few books on my downstairs book shelf.
Jeff's book is there. So is Matt's.
Did the men who stood beside the great men of the past really know?
The ones that make a difference?

Sheehan ojects to the Blue Angels too.

...Fenton Communications, a Washington public relations firm that has worked intermittently with Sheehan over the past year to coordinate media coverage.

Cindy Sheehan's Apologist Allies
I see
in the Washington Post that Cindy Sheehan is using
the same PR agency the Nicaraguan Sandinistas used.
Perhaps understandably, Fenton Communications doesn't brag about its work promoting Nicaragua's pro-Castro, anti-U.S. communist government. At least, not on
its website.
For those who don't remember the Sandinistas,
here are remarks by then-President Ronald Reagan about the Sandinistas' torture of dissidents, their pro-Soviet military activities, their personal financial corruption and more. Read it while remembering that Fenton Communications stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Sandinistas, and now Cindy Sheehan stands with them.

And THIS is what this so-called protest is all aboutLike I said, she's actually using her sons dead body as a political prop. It's disturbing.
I thought the Welstone Funerally was bad, but this is 100 X worse!

So confused they are. They out to know impeachment means nothing. Or should I say it meant nothing to W's predecessor.

I saw the al Jazeera link.
The heroine of the terrorists...............wonder if that was one of her goals in life when she was a little girl?

"Please let the FReepers in TX know this...they need to start a chant about AL Jazeera Loves Cindy..." Check out this post.
It's the reason I sat on my butt today instead of being in Crawford.

Sheehan is a willing surrogate for Conyers, Waters, Moore, Wilson and assorted other America haters.
Conyers has acknowledge sending her $500. My guess is that it's the tip of the iceberg as to her funding.
Well, if she thinks it's worth being bitten by fire ants, so be it.

LAST UPDATE:
3:00 PM Texas Time The rally has wound down now. The last speaker at the podium was CNTXAN's 17 year old daughter! She spoke from the heart, having had a father who served. We need a lot more of that and God bless CNTXAN and his for raising her up in such a fashion.
CNTXAN is on his way home to Killeen. Several other Freepers were heading to eat, I believe in Waco or somewhere in the vicinity. They had great medai coverage, very sympathetic and supporitve law enforcement, and a lot of supportive and grateful passerbys.
I wish to God there could be some way that this effort can continue every weekend as long as the other side camps outsoide the President's door. It makes a difference and gets people energized all over the country...as I know it has done today.
I can speak from experience, at Klamath Falls it made all the difference in the world as literally first tens, and then hundreds of thousands of people who couldn;t be there on the ground with us...but who heard about it over the internet and talk radio as we made our reports...took action wherever they lived. That is exaclty what ois needed here too.
So, that's it folks. Please continue to check in on the thread for pics (later tonight), comments and more links
...and ocne again, God bless these guys, and all of you, for the support of our troops today.
