LIVE THREAD: H.O.T. CHAPTER'S CRAWFORD SUPPORT PRES. AND TROOPS RALLY (8/13/05)

Posted on 08/13/2005 6:55:59 AM PDT by kristinn

The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.

The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.

Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.

Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.

We'll see.

Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

A very warm and nice lady, but sadly far to the left.

What did she say?

If the President agreed to meet with Sheehan AGAIN, I'd bet in a matter of minutes he'd have a line of other anti-war people demanding to meet with him.

She admitted the other day she doesn't really want him to come see her. Her circus would end and to use her own quote she'd "lose momentum"

Send this to RUSH ASAP with the place where it was taken. It might help get him to mention the FReep at Crawford on the air on Monday.

He knows her son did not die for a noble cause. The real reason behind the war in Iraq is OIL not WMDs.

Howard, is that you? Eeeeeyyyyyaaaaaa!!!

It isn't a 5 week vacation the same you take a 5 week vacation from work. This is Bush recessing to the Western Whitehouse. Technology and communications allow our President to run Command and Control from virtually anywhere in the country and this includes his ranch. He has also signed bills into law and is visited 7 states during this vacation.

Bush has already met with Ms Sheehan and it seems even if Bush did take time out of his vacation as you say to meet with her, she would not have much to say that hasn't already been said.

Cindy changed her story several months later. What was the catalyst for this? Logic seems to dictate that she was contacted or sought out a leftist organization that preyed on her loss and convinved her to invent new memories that she now uses. She then is trotted around the country in an Election Year tactic and has now come to Crawford to make a demand. One that will not be granted.

Her son unfortunately did die for a noble cause. Even Cindy recognized that after her fist meeting with the president. It is the left in this country that continues to perpetuate a lie and they are the ones who are denigrating the mission and the troops.

The Iraqi war is not about oil.

Pulling the troops out of Iraq now, will not only result in more American deaths in the form of attacks here, but hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of Iraqi deaths.

It was a GREAT day and a great event. Hundreds were there...thousands experienced it here online...perhaps tens of thousands now that the thread ispushing 40,000 views.

...but MILLIONS saw it on Fox...which means our soldiers will see it and take heart. That was what this was all about and we need to keep it up so that the disingenuous far left, who hates our nation and what it was built upon, who hate the good our troops are accomplishing in Iraq, and who either actively court, or at least play into the hands of the mortal enemies we are fighting...as I say, so that these people and their rantings are proven not only for the lie that they are...but for the intent that is behind that lie, which is to bring our Republic and our way of life as we have known it down.

That's what is going on here and we need to pour on the coals and sustain this effort for as long as necessary.

Send this Pic to RUSH ASAP. He's got a special section for pic of his Gitmo wear on his site and mentions where it has been worn. If we keep the Camp G'itmo photos coming from Crawford he can't help but mention it on Monday, IMHO

I would kick in some $$$$ for that also...

I am sitting here watching this amazing special on Fox, and I haved thought of Casey Sheehan several times....his story could have been substituted for one of these fine your troops whose story is being told tonight...

God Bless Casey Sheehan, and let him know we are proud and grateful!

Hell of good idea. Worth a new thread, I would throw some $$ into the pot for a memorial to a brave soldier, in light of his psycho mom.

Sure. He volunteered to serve his country. I have the utmost respect for this American soldier.

His mother is a nut case, though, and a danger to our president and those still in Iraq. She supported the insurgents that killed her son. It's the mothers karma. Her son paid the price.

The military moms present were Gale Muskiet, Julie Swain, Ann Semien, and Linda Prince.

Muskiet is from Houston and Prince is from Centerville. I don't know about the other two.

I loved this guy. He had a good choice in music too. Playing American Soldier by Toby Keith. Driving in Circles into the leftist event and out. I think the police told him to turn down his radio though.

BTW - was just lurking on the icky site (trying to see if they acknowledged FReeper presence today) and that truck irritated them to no end.
