Roadside bomb in western Iraq.
I've read all your post on this thread and you and I are on the same sheet of music.
good guys have gotten very aggressive out at the western border.
"Please pray for my brother. His name is Chris, he is in that area. He is on an amphibious assault vehicle crew with the reserve unit out of Gulfport, Ms."
May God be with your brother Chris..I thank him for serving our country.
They are the same small group of "odd" political operatives that always show up at the most inappropriate times, trying to disrupt and dishearten everyone.
It is a chore to respond to the likes of them, but a small one compared to the really important job you are doing over there, so just stay safe and know you have our support and respect.
Rumsfeld was in Iraq again last week. I don't believe 'surprise visits' happen without a purpose. Look for changes in the way we're doing things.
This country will not be washed clean until all liberals are rotting in hell.
That's a standard line in any kind of military effort, for two reasons: 1) it makes no sense to raise peoples' expectations by predicting a quick, easy victory in any situation; and 2) a government has no choice but to use this approach when it has no clue about what lies ahead.
Thank you..
What "real response" would we have seen?
If KOS is any example of leftist sentiment, it's more of a gentle smirk.

They don't relish the idea of Americans dying. They relish the idea of making Bush look bad. And if Americans die in the course of that happening, then their mindset is "Oh, well. C'est la vie."
Consider a slightly different case, that of that Brazilian guy mistakenly killed by the Brits on the subway a couple of weeks back. Don't you think the left was secretly ecstatic that it turned out he WASN'T a terrorist? Think about that for a minute and consider what it means that they would be happy about that.
Marines don't ask why and before you make a nazi slander; they don't break the law, either.
Make that read, "We WON'T even secure our Southern border. But that's for another thread.
I'm just fed up with our apparent policy of allowing Syria to give foreign terrorists free passage into Iraqi territory. We can't effectively patrol hundreds of miles of open desert border, but we could put unbearable pressure on the duplicitous Syrian government to stop the infiltrators on their side long before they reach the border.
A huge can of whoop ass is about to get opened on Haditha
Welcome...
How on Earth did this happen? 14 Marines from Ohio die in Iraq in a couple days right around the time Hackett and the democrats are trying to take back Ohio and now make hay out of the close result. What are the odds of that? Me thinks Soros has a battalion in Iraq.
That might sound kooky, but really what are the odds? He is one of the richest men on Earth with interests and a foreign policy diametrically opposed to America-- what would it take to reach out to the insurgency and collaborate a bit? And I suspect the bad guys of Haditha have gotten lots of Syrian help. Is it too much to conclude that Young Assad has received help and encouragement from many quarters...including Soros and other america-loathing europeans in high places?
You say they are "waging war". Sorry, but that is not true. They are waging a politically correct "kill them softly" campaign
They are truly and effectively fighting, (and killing) the enemy. They are slightly bothered by the punks who would denigrate their honor. Kinda like you just did.
I agree. First off, cell phones in Iraq need to be outlawed. Cell phones are helping to organize this insurgency as sure as I'm sitting here. During the Saddam era, cell phones weren't allowed, we came in and thought giving everybody a cellphone and a lamb in their pot would make everything simpatico-- clearly that was misguided. We need to crack down!!!
I want bombing. I want the bad guys to feel pain for a change.
