Is he out there boasting about it or something? It was an ACCIDENT.
I don't understand how some people can decide it is cool to torment those who have had the tragedy in their lives of accidently killing somebody in a automobile accident.
I think it's despicable.
If it were you, you'd still be in jail for your "accident"
She did not die in the accident, she drowned. There was an air pocket in the car. Had Teddy tried to save her instead of swim away to save his own arse, she very well may be alive today.
"I don't understand how some people can decide it is cool to torment those who have had the tragedy in their lives of accidently killing somebody in a automobile accident. I think it's despicable."
Friend, you need to have your moral compass recalibrated. The drunken wretch used his political power to subvert the justice process and put himself above the law or morality. He has since gone on to be a phenomenal pig of historic scale in and out of the capitol. He is the epitome of corruption and a symbol of RAT decadence. Rome had no worse leaders.
Read, Senatorial Privilege.
The boy left her while she was still alive. He walked back to a cottage to sober up before he called his lawyer. She had plenty of time to be rescued. Her oxygen finally ran out, and she died. Her corpse was in a position of fighting to keep her head above water.
Wiesel Kennedy tried to get his cousin to take some blame, at which the cousin said, "Even Kennedy's don't [crap] in their own back yard."
You are poorly-informed on this subject.
How do you know it was an accident? He was probably smashed out of his mind and the fact that he did not save Ms. Kopechne is unconscionable!
Why didn't he save Mary Jo?
Jorge...
SEE POST #75.
Are you on drugs or something?
Fat Teddy was drunk, and ran off to sober up before reporting the accident where the woman was found dead after "the accident."
Here are some of the News headlines in one of today's Boston papers. Do you think Teddy would let these guys go?
The car going into the water was an accident. Leaving her to slowly die over the course of the next several hours WAS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
My friend, you should do some research.
Yo have been provided with all the facts. I suggest you do real research before saying anything quite so under-knowledged again.
Somewhere I have my email from Mary Jo to the Swimmer (which I sent to him on the anniversary of his killing her).
I think it's despicable.
Well it would have been tragic, if he hadn't been drunk and stoned and cheating with an intern. However he was drunk and stoned, and when he ran his car off the bridge, he spent the next couple of hours figuring how to 'spin' it and avoid legal responsibility, while leaving Mary Jo to suffocate to death.
If he had shown a shread of decency, she would have made it out of the car alive, but Teddy was too busy trying to save his ass (sucessfully as it turned out.
The tormenting he is taking from critics is nothing compared to what awaits him when he meets his maker (leaving alone his cupibility in the deaths of millons of babies from the policies he so rabidly defends.
Sorry if you don't get it. People who defend this killer are despicable IMO.
Kennedy waited more than 12 hours to report the "accident".
How can you stand up for that lying piece of garbage?
Keep digging.
A rich spoiled drunk with any class whatsoever would have retired from public life.
Not guilty by virtue of being drunk?
To stupid blind drunk to save anything but his own a$$?
I don't see how Mary Jo Kopechne's death could possibly be considered an accident, a tragic accident. Guess it depends on which story you believe.
No one deserves to get away with that, he has never answered for it. He deserves torment. He torments other people all the time, like the judges.
Going off the bridge may have been an accident. Spending the next few hours without notifying the police while she suffocated was murder.
Was it an 'accident' when he begged his cousin to take the rap for him? Was it an accident when he didn't cll the police for twelve hours?
"It was an ACCIDENT!?!"
Driving off the bridge while drinking is an accident. Leaving the site and letting her suffocate (MJK didn't drown, nor was she killed in the rollover) is murder.
Maybe, maybe not. (adjusts tinfoil hat).
Mary Jo was a Catholic. There was no autopsy. The body was promptly cremated (not standard practice among Catholics in that day). Was that done to prevent any future exhumation and autopsy? Was she preggers? Did she threaten to go to the press? Did Teddy cover that up the only way he could? All sorts of possibilities come to mind.
While a "tragic accident" (which is the way the incident was spun by the press) wouldn't hurt his re-election bid (and may have helped with the sympathy vote), a "love child" darned sure would have.
Are you "outraged," too?
