[history]
On Hannity and Colmes, While discussing the requirements of a Supreme Court nominee, Ann just sarcastically noted that it was ok to kill a girl at Chappiquiddic. Colmes said that was a low blow and that comment was below her.
WHY??? WHAT is so darned SACRED about mentioning the truth???
Ann said, "Why..."
Colmes didn't answer, and the set was quiet.
Hannity and Reagan (another guest) should have spoken up.
This is another example of "The Emperor is NAKED!"

Teddy is "cheap and low IMHO."
You think any one of us would be sitting in the Senate had we been driving?
Hell no.

"I suspect Ann came up with this statement by reading the comments on Free-republic she has said that when she is feeling down she browses the forums..."I believe Ann is - or was - a FReeper.

My first comment. Being Catholic and Mr. Kennedy's stand on abortion I think Ann was correct in her comment. You see Mr. Kennedy has not learned anything from Chapp. incident. A life was lost he did nothing. And now he continues to do nothing to help the lives of the unborn. We are talking about 40 million deaths. And he is a bad catholic he does go against church teaching. This is an important issue. You see he didn't learn anything and got away with it and so the mind set is still there. Life is not sacred!

I agree wholeheartedly. However, when old Teddy flaps his gums to tear down everything decent and moral about our great country, including our Commander-in-Cheif.......well, then it's open season on everything! Ted Kennedy makes me absolutely sick.
I think he is a sick ideologically warped man.
But that doesn't excuse the hateful meanspirited practice of some on the right of constantly parroting "Chappaquiddic"
I think it shows their weakness in mounting any REAL political offensive against Kennedy. They discredit themselves. I love Rush, but don't like it when he brings this up either.

BRIAN MCGRORY No more Mr. Nice Guy By Brian McGrory, Globe Columnist | June 28, 2005
Now comes Kennedy to profoundly disagree. In fact, he was on the phone last week from Washington to essentially say that the nice-guy campaigns of yesteryear are just that: history. Anyone who runs against him for the rest of his career runs at his or her own peril.
''Historically, what I've always tried to do is run for the office, not against someone," he said, an acknowledgement of what's gone on before.
Then he delivered this barely veiled threat: ''This is a difficult and challenging profession. No one should come to it lightly. As it should be. People have to be held accountable, professionally, and the public is looking at it in terms of private lives, as well. Everything is fair game."

"She did not die in the accident, she drowned. There was an air pocket in the car." The guy that pulled her out testified that no water came out of her lungs, so technically, she didn't drown. Seems the air pocket ran out of oxygen.

I'm sick to death of hearing about Chappaquiddic.
I think Kennedy is a despicable person simply because of his politics.
That is more than enough.
To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and
The reason he is attacked year after year, is because he "got away with it" Never went to trial, never paid for his actions, he was a rich man, politician.........he needs to pay for his deeds IN JAIL!!!!!!!

Why? The only penalty that this drunken SOB has paid for killing a young woman is the payoff to her parents - with his daddy's booze money.
If you tolerate this crap, you will tolerate any crap.
To: Jorge
He didn't report the accident until the next morning. He left her to die. You understand that Jorge? He left her there in that cold stinking pond.
To: Jorge
"It was an ACCIDENT."Exactly what part of leaving her trapped in the car , swimming to safety and then neglecting to mention the incident for about 18 hours was accidental?

He certainly cared about this person far more than those attempting to torment him with the memory of it.
Yeah, sure.....he did, he left her to die..which I guess isn't as bad as mean spirited people that point that out,
"MEAN SPIRITED"...isn't that liberal speak for shut up and listen?
