On Hannity and Colmes, While discussing the requirements of a Supreme Court nominee, Ann just sarcastically noted that it was ok to kill a girl at Chappiquiddic. Colmes said that was a low blow and that comment was below her.
WHY??? WHAT is so darned SACRED about mentioning the truth???
Ann said, "Why..."
Colmes didn't answer, and the set was quiet.
Hannity and Reagan (another guest) should have spoken up.
This is another example of "The Emperor is NAKED!"
That was great! I'll have to say Ann really hit a home run with that exchange.
BTW the timeline of the first 24hrs exposes this crapweasel having the family lawyers and advisers pull his CYA s**t together , and in the first few hours Mary Jo might have had a chance , while the astronauts approached the moon
Chappaquiddic was what finally killed the old man (Joe Sr.). Broke his heart from what I remember reading.
Wrong. If I knew someone was trapped in a car in the water and likely to drown, I would try to save them. I wouldn't even have to know their name.
"I don't understand how some people can decide it is cool to torment those who have had the tragedy in their lives of accidently killing somebody in a automobile accident. I think it's despicable."
Friend, you need to have your moral compass recalibrated. The drunken wretch used his political power to subvert the justice process and put himself above the law or morality. He has since gone on to be a phenomenal pig of historic scale in and out of the capitol. He is the epitome of corruption and a symbol of RAT decadence. Rome had no worse leaders.
Or if a senior Pub senator was once a Kleagle in the KKK, or if a previous Pub member of a Pub cabinet was stuffing archived documents down his pants.
The double standard is as wide as a 6-lane interstate.
What chaps me, besides the incident, is the bright light it shines on our vaunted two-tier justice system.
He left the scene of a fatal accident. I figure he couldn't have been too attached to the victim, or he'd have stayed there.
You're right, because after all he has shown an extraordinary amount of remorse over his "mistake". /sarcasm
yeah, "if you can't do the time don't do the crime"...he DID get 30 days...suspended of course, that foam neck brace he wore around for a month or so, probobly got real uncomfortable.......
Snicker...let's ASK him!
"On July 18, 1969, at approximately 11:15 PM in Chappaquiddick, Martha's Vinyard, Massachusetts, I was driving my car on Main Street on my way to get the ferry back to Edgartown. I was unfamiliar with the road and turned right onto Dike Road, instead of bearing hard left on Main Street. After proceeding for approximately one-half mile on Dike Road I descended a hill and came upon a narrow bridge. The car went off the side of the bridge. There was one passenger with me, one Miss Mary ( Kennedy was not sure of the spelling of the dead girl's last name, and offered a rough phonetic approximation ), a former secretary of my brother Sen. Robert Kennedy. The car turned over and sank into the water and landed with the roof resting on the bottom. I attempted to open the door and the window of the car but have no recolection of how I got out of the car. I came to the surface and then repeatedly dove down to the car in an attempt to see if the passenger was still in the car. I was unsuccessful in the attempt. I was exhausted and in a state of shock. I recall walking back to where my friends were eating. There was a car parked in front of the cottage and I climbed into the back seat. I then asked for someone to bring me back to Edgartown. I remember walking around for a period of time and then going back to my hotel room. When I fully realized what had happened this morning, I immediately contacted the police."

I feel exactly as you do. How dare he lecture anyone! Check out my post #84!
No, it was AT LEAST MANSLAUGHTER, which he WALKED away from almost scotfree.
If Ann keeps it up, she may put Hannity in a box labeled CINO. And that would be Conservatives in Name Only, those who profess conservatism but in fact are only cheerleaders for a Republican Party which seems more interested in winning and holding office rather than moving forward a conservative agenda with the offices they are holding.
Not until she knocks it off with her foolishness regarding Roberts....but rest assured, she'll remain a regular on FOX at any rate, just like Bob Beckel, Ellis Hennican, Al Sharpton, and all the other irritants they tout up regularly.....good TV, after all.
Because of all that Kennedy money and power;)
Good for Ann!!!
You gotta be kidding theres no way thats going to happen she told the truth they sure as hell arent going to ban her for that
To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and low IMHO.
Uh, I think the point is that Kennedy continually attacks everyone who disagrees with him for any reason. There is a saying that anyone who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones. Not only does Teddy live in a glass house, he tries to preach from a pedestal on its roof! Kennedy counts on people being ashamed/embarrased of bringing up the Chappaquidick incident to insulate himself from criticism. I think its great that some people, like Coulter, won't be cowed!
He was caught driving with a suspended license a couple of months later, and he still got off easy.
