If kudzu actually is shown to be effective, the FDA will try to ban it.

study of 14 men and women 14 people does not make good statistics. Even if I am reading it wrong and they had 28 people, that is still not good statistics.

Kudzu helps prevent drunk driving by eating the car.

.......... kudzu increases blood alcohol levels and speeds up alcohol's effects, meaning that the people who took kudzu needed fewer drinks to feel drunk .................... Kudzu is now doomed.
Alcoholics and teens will rip it up and take it home in search of a cheaper drunk.
The Government will outlaw it and try to exterminate it to keep alcohol tax revenues up.
Do-gooders will gather after church to burn it to keep people from having a good time.

My doctor told me to reduce my alcohol intake by 20%.
So I switched from 100 proof to 80 proof.

The U.S. study of 14 men and women A recent survey of one man finds this ridiculous "study" about as informative as a random barroom discussion on the thoughts on the the Crimean war's effect on Brazilian kumquat production.

The U.S. study of 14 men and women
14? That number of participants is so insignificant that it can't even validate the conclusion.
kudzu seemed to reduce alcohol intake
Isn't the purpose of 'drinking' to take in alcohol? Otherwise, near-beer (alcohol-free) would be a top selling item.

I find if I buy few drinks, I consume fewer drinks. Is it that difficult? What is this a bandaid for alcoholics?

Kudzu gives you a buzz? Can't you just see the eradication effort on this one?

One way kudzu might help drinkers avoid binge drinking is to plant the vine inside bars. Soon the drinkers would be immobilized by the clinging vines and unable to raise a bottle or glass to their lips.

A cartoon strip can do that? Cool.

BTW - You have to have grown up in the south to truely understand how funny this strip is. My brother sends me copies from the Durham paper about once a month.
