I thought dropping nukes on a couple of cities might just be "extreme".

"These people have attacked my city twice in the past fortnight. I - and every other Londoner - takes that seriously. We have all grieved for the dead, as we grieved after other terrorist attacks. " So at last you are showing some spine
"That doesn't mean that I have to sit here and condemn all Muslims. All Muslims were not responsible for this."
That's a stupid comment no one said ALL Muslims are to blame for it. We are criticizing your ridiculous statement that implies this is not a muslim problem. BTW I am a Londoner I married and American and settled in CA, so don't think that last statement makes any bones with me. From where I am standing you sound like an appologist liberal to me

sorry dude, Islam won't yield to playing nice.
It would be super if most Muslims were akin to the placidness of Kahil Gibran, but theyre not.

Police will begin conducting random searches of packages and backpacks carried by people entering city subways, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Thursday after a new series of bomb attacks in London......
Bet Bloomberg's been waiting for an excuse to violate the Fourth Amendment, and they will find a lot more drugs or even :gasp: cigarettes than anything else. Watch any large amount of cash get "forfeitured" too.
With explosives detectors and bomb sniffing dogs available, this isn't even useful.

The earliest we can start is probably January 2013 Why then? (Just curious)...We can't change the administration to suit the demands of war as the Brits did in 1940.
If we are attacked again before November 2008, the Democrat will win. No Democrat can or will do what is needed.
If we are not attached before November 2008 (highly unlikely, but possible) a multiculti ROP-loving Republican may win, or the Democrat will win anyway.
Therefore, as the war escalates after January 2009, nothing will be done.
The appeasement policy will fail, and a new administration will be elected in November 2012.

TAP) Police will begin conducting random searches of packages and backpacks carried by people entering city subways, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Thursday after a new series of bomb attacks in London...... The MTA moves over 7 million passengers a day. A couple of hundred random searches is not going to scare the bad guys, particularly after CAIR complains about profiling, and as a result, LEO focuses the random searches upon blonde haired, blue-eyed secretaries, wearing short skirts and carrying fake Coach bags.

I recently had a tag line that said you learn more on FR by accident than at most other places on purpose.
That's why I love FR...

"With explosives detectors and bomb sniffing dogs available, this isn't even useful. " Explosives detection relies on swab sample analysis (which means physical searching) not a magic "walk through the arch and we somehow we can detect ANY explosive machine" they only exist in science fiction films.

I agree. I'm guessing at least 5 of the 7 million subway riders are middle easterners. They'd have to check every other bag!

you're right on the cig part, not the derogatory. In British English, the word "fag" was used (as a verb and a noun) to refer to a kind of apprenticeship practiced within public schools. Younger boys within the school "fagged" for the older boys by cooking breakfasts, cleaning sports kit (equipment) or other menial tasks. The term fag in this sense derived from the sense "flagging in energy due to having performed strenuous menial labour," as in "I'm all fagged out." Violence, bullying and sexual abuse were sometimes associated with fagging.
