A couple of hundred random searches is not going to scare the bad guys, particularly after CAIR complains about profiling, and as a result, LEO focuses the random searches upon blonde haired, blue-eyed secretaries, wearing short skirts and carrying fake Coach bags.

Explosives detection relies on swab sample analysis (which means physical searching) not a magic "walk through the arch and we somehow we can detect ANY explosive machine" they only exist in science fiction films.
