The MTA moves over 7 million passengers a day. A couple of hundred random searches is not going to scare the bad guys, particularly after CAIR complains about profiling, and as a result, LEO focuses the random searches upon blonde haired, blue-eyed secretaries, wearing short skirts and carrying fake Coach bags.
I agree. I'm guessing at least 5 of the 7 million subway riders are middle easterners. They'd have to check every other bag!
