Per foxnews
Thanks for the info - shows what I know !
Thanks, and to other freepers for their kind wishes to the UK. I was on the Inter-City train, everything was running normally, they didn't even bother with announcements on it.
From what I understand the bombs were either very small or faulty in that only the detonators went off. It also sounds like members of the public either apprehended at least one perpetrator or chased him into the arms of the police ...
Al Masjid Al Khaziri...
"In Leeds, around a sixth of the population is Muslim. Why aren't the streets of Leeds streaming with blood?"
Because the Muslim population is not generally engaged in anti-government activities. However it is unclear how large the untapped potential is for future bloodshed.
Recent race riots, etc. indicate that all is not right in the Muslim community in Britain. There are also indications of a significant degree of tolerance for extremism among the Muslim community.
Certainly, the streets need not "run with blood" in order to create a major social problem for Britain - potentially a much worse one than the decades-long struggle against the Irish Republican Army.
It's quite subtle, isn't it? I bet the director is shouting into their TV earpieces...INCIDENTS! (not explosions)
He signed up today to spin for the appeasers.
I don't discount the possibility that they may simply have failed - but the effect of telling London 'you can't stop us' would be the same either way.
Eric, your repeated ad hominems against so-called "islamophobic bigots" are not appreciated. People can disagree with Artillerylane's arguments without being bigots.
"Anyone know if Rican can be delivered in a powder form?"
If you kill me and cremate me, maybe...wait, I'm sure you meant ricin.
"The major question I have for all the Muslims - indeed the major DEMAND I make - is that they repudiate the radicals, and are far more active in purging the terrorists from their midst. If they don't, and soon, there will be no choice but to assume all Muslims are complicit."
Absolutely. If we tar all Muslims with the same brush, we'll end up pushing extremists and moderates together. But if we're to distingush effectively between the two, it means that Muslims have to take the lead.
You are correct.
That was my first thought ... anyone coming out with that attitude on their first day normally gets a much less welcome reception than he is getting ... oh well, time will tell.
Excellent....Hope there are address books, computer disks and cell phones. I'm sure they won't tell us about that. I wouldn't....until I wanted to see a "run".
The major question I have for all the Muslims - indeed the major DEMAND I make - is that they repudiate the radicals, and are far more active in purging the terrorists from their midst. If they don't, and soon, there will be no choice but to assume all Muslims are complicit. Not really. There were plenty of Muslims who condemned the attacks after 9/11. Many here insisted they were lying, or they weren't "real" Muslims.
Some of the vocal Muslims found themselves targetted by the phobes. They may have figured it was better just to lie low.
Plus, there's an inherent reluctance in people to criticize one's own. Look at the Eric Rudolph threads here. While I know you've said he's nothing but a terrorist, others have hemmed and hawed.
Does that make them evil people complicit in his actions? No. The same applies to moderate Muslims.
-Eric
Well said, however, the silence and inaction of the moderates is unforgivable. The seem to be just staying out of the way until the terrorists impose a worldwide califate. IMHO, all muslims should be forced to pick a side.
Evidence?
Unless, of course, you think that not taking the fight to all Muslims is tantamount to appeasing the terrorist Muslims.
BBC: No linkage between the man arrested in front of 10 Downing and the subway/bus incidents so far.
Some military dude said the Same mix....could deteriorate rapidly and dudes wouldn't know it.
Can you say whatever you said in response to my post, minus whatever you said that got it deleted? Or not?
