Well the authorities have told us that all boats that leave and come back are monitored, so that particular boat is stationary in the water, and I don't think it leaves off the island, but just a few hundred yards.

As I recall, Miller said that there was a boat that was unaccounted for. (I think it went to Venezuela.)

from just reading the transcript, it seems odd that Lee failed to state how loose an ID thru mitochondrial DNA is; and also he ignored the possibility of the hairs having roots on them, which would provide a match or rule-out many many orders of magnitude more powerful than the mitochondrial could possibly provide.

For weeks I have gotten so sick of Tito and others who come on cable tv to serve as apologists for the incompetence and crookedness of the Aruban cops, justice system and government.

Tonight, Tito's mind boggling argument for why things haven't moved along fast enough is that the prosecutor, cops and others have other things to do, have other court business, have other cases.

Wait---I thought Aruba was the crime-free Happiness Island.

Of course, simultaneously Tito argued that it was ok for everyone to go on vacation for weeks right now because nothing was happening.

So, in summary: why did Aruban authorities not move faster? Because they had other cases and other court business. Why are they able to take extended vacations right now? Because nothing is happening and not much happens down there. Which is it? Bottom line is that the fix is in and the Aruban media will say anything to further the coverup.

I think that Lee was more interested in the duct tape because the tape could/would be the piece of evidence that would tie the perp into the crime. The results of the hair strands alone could not tie the perp into the crime. So Lee was mostly focused on the findings on the duct tape.

In an interview some time ago with Greta in Natalee's hotel room, Beth showed her diary and indicated that June 11th was a significant day. She wrote down something in her diary on the 11th or about the 11th but did not divulge the info. Apparently, the 11th was a turning point day for her.

Anyone know what she was referring to?

Here's my take on it. The punks did it. That doesn't matter. They will never be convicted. In the mean time, the media is making a fortune on the story while real issues go unnoticed like atrocities committed by illegal immigrants inside the borders of the United States.

I'm sorry for her parents. The only upside I can think of to this story is that maybe other parents won't be so quick to send their kids to vacation in Banana Republics.

Darn, it was so hot and I had a migraine -- had to pack up for our concert in the park tonight -- I forgot to tape the Chandra Levy story. Anyone else see it or have any details? Will it be repeated? Doesn't look like it will tonight. I hate that DISH network does not do a West Coast feed. All the 9:30 shows are on at 6:30.

I guess the new details weren't shocking enough for anyone to have started a thread after the show because I don't see one.
