TICK TOCK...............
You are not going to lead an exodus of conservatives to questionable third parties.
Second, FR a Republican cheering section? perhaps if you wish credibility you might want to amend that remark. Republicans are savaged quite often, never more so than in aftermath of the filibuster deal which the Majority strongly denounced.
So what? Another "moderate" like O'Connor or Kennedy would be just as bad ESPECIALLY in light of the fact Bush promised to nominated a Scalia-like originalist and the that the Republicans have 55 seats in the Senate. There is no good reason not to appoint someone that has proven track record similar to Scalia or Clarence Thomas.
You need to take a time-out. Calling Laura Bush a 1st Lady from Hell is out of line.
If George W. Bush wants to add to his enemies list, this is a good way for him to do it.
really..source?
I wonder if Senator Cornyn read this thread? LOL
I'll definitely keep Judge Brown in mind when Ginsburg leaves the Court. If things go the way I hope, that will be the tipping point in bringing SCOTUS back to reality.
Roe v Wade was handed down overnight
Every journey of a 1000 steps must begin with puting one of your feet forward...not backward
Ok, but did a non-closeted homosexual ever say he was conservative?
Sorry, couldn't resist that one, Sununu always seemed rather fruity to me..
It's possible. But, Reagan thought he knew how O'Connor and Kennedy would vote, too.
Clinton, though, had proven paper trial when he appointed his judges and he didn't make a mistake.
Has there ever been a tagline zot?
I've noticed that. No track record = bad track record.
I know nothing about this "maybe" nominee. So perhaps you can help me out and show me in her writings, decisions, confirmation hearings, or public statements where she has said she "wants to kill unborn babies."
And one important fact that many people of all political and non-political stripes either ignore or just don't know is that overturning Roe will not make abortion illegal in the United States.
I'm just saying...
It would be meaner to spread the rumor that Ann Coulter has cancelled an appearance on H&C to be in Washington.
;-)
iing How can you call her a moderate when she's a Southern republican who is Catholic and a member of the Federalist Society a/k/a "The Vast Right Wing Conpiracy."
I don't think folks like you would be happy with anything.
Samantha: If that's the nastiest comment you've ever seen on here, you must not get around much. It gets a lot hotter than that. Also, when referring to someone else's post, it's considered courteous to ping them as well.
Howlin: I don't think AMHN knows enough about your history to realize how much worse that comment was to make to you than to someone else.
AMHN: Ask Howlin privately if you want to know.
I tend to agree (I know that will make your day, right?) and am waiting to see what the President has to say tonight and if it is Clement, to see what her record tells us about her theory of jurisprudence.
There are dozens of judges that are known originalists. With 55 Republicans in the Senate, why in the world isn't one being nominated?
