Remember Wellstone!!!!That was shocking! They were so power hungry, they thought a "death rally" would actually help them. Sickos.

She is one of our national martyrs now. It would only make Ted Olsen the most popular man every nominated to the Supreme Court. Let the Demoncrats make that mistake.

It would also be a mistake that we would have to live with for years.
There's no appeasing a bunch of radicals like the Democrats.

You know they would do everything possible to destroy him - he represented Bush and won the case before the Supreme Court in the 2000 election mess.

Aside from all the other philosophical problems that Specter has, not to mention his horrendous handling of the Ira Einhorn case, isn't he fighting some form of cancer? Why choose someone who is not healthy?

I think Scalia will get chief justice. Ditto. Scalia is a natural for this leadership role on the court.

Well who ever it is she or he won't be acceptable to Murdering Ted Kennedy unless she passes out condoms to grade schoolers and smokes pot.

Edith Brown Clement ... She is a member of the Federalist Society, an influential conservative legal organization. That's a good sign, and she's not too old (from my persective at least, since she's only a couple of years older than I am. :) )

Coburn needs to stay right where he is and bring some sense to the Senate.
To: Southack
Clement would be a disaster she is for precedent.
At her confirmation hearing Clement said Roe V Wade was settled.
She will uphold all the horrible decisions of the supreme court of the last few decades based on precedent.
Please please don't nominate her.
Those scum democrats ruined this nomination, if it wasn't for them Owen would have had three years as a circuit court judge and could have been nominated and Estrada would have been a d.c circuit court judge and would have been a hispanic conservative a perfect choice.

She is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States... the Federalist Society, An Admiralty lawyer and a Federalist. Good combination.

Edith Clement is the favorite at tradesports.com, with her "stock" quadrupling over the past week.
Blue-blood sounding name. I'd bet on her.

Clement would be a disaster she is for precedent. All judges are for precedent.
If a judge is not, it puts chaos into the law.
