It would be really cool if some Freeper got the gig.

Didnt that used to be Gregg Knapp?
To: SerpentDove
I'd love to do it, but I don't think I have the "cred" to carry such a large audience.

I'd be tempted, it has been quite some time since I've been on the air, but not interested in moving to Texas. Ahh well; will forward to others though.

As long as that fool Tom Tancredo doesn't get on there and make us look as fringe as Howard Dean and the Libs.

I used to love to listen to WBAP in the mornings when I lived down there (Hal Jay and Dick Siegel were their names I think). Dick was a traffic jockey who they would go to to get an update and he'd be hovering over a pool full of bikini clad women. My favorite was the time he had some reporterette in the copter with him and Hal got concerned as to who was in charge so he asked "Who's driving?" and the reporterette replied, "Well he's driving my leg right now." I had to pull over to the side of the road I was laughing so hard.

If they'd let me do the show from here (Atlanta), I'd take it in a heartbeat. But I doubt they'd go for that.

Turns out Gary McNamara's still around on WBAP. He has become the new permanent co-host on the Midnight Trucker show. That would be a fun gig for a radio host, but I wonder if it's considered a demotion. There are a lot more ears listening from 6 to 9.

I nominate Sinkspur.
He's in Texas and can do a remote if the studio is too far away.
