You've got it right; this is a crime. The damn teacher's unions want to make life easier for teachers. They are using these poor children to further their own lazy BS. And the morons known as 'black activists' are too stupid to see that, once again, they are being exploited - and not by those evil right-wingers, but by the very people who they think are their friends. The California educational establishment is totally messed up. Its completely backwards. You don't help people to prepare for careers by catering to the lowest common denominator. You don't help anyone by lowering the bar. Idiots, idiots idiots.

Texeira said research has shown that students learn better when they fully comprehend the language they are being taught in.And that's exactly why they should learn proper English!

Who is going to choose a doctor or an engineer that speaks in "ebonics"?or a banker.
To: 45Auto
Heck, why not go ahead and throw away the History, Science and Math books as well. Before long the requirements for graduating high school will be if the student can boil water.

I had to clip that and paste it. In return, and totally off topic, let me paste "So I say to the Dalai Llama":
So I say to the Dalai Llama...How about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know?" And he says, "...On your death bed, you will receive total consciousness."
So I got that going for me, which is nice

That portion of the Education Code is covered in the California Criminal Code....
The director of state prisons has a special facility and staff for handling the life-long learning opportunities.

Now if the NAACP really cared about the future of black america, it would do something about this.
But instead, it's stuck in the same old groove,
tauting socialism, attcking republicans, and demanding
more welfare programs.
To: 45Auto
You have to start believing that the educrats actually want blacks to amount to nothing, thereby insuring they'll keep getting buckets of funding for "low achieving" and "disadvantaged" students. They are disadvantaged in large part because their schools demand nothing from them.
Ensure that they sound like morons thereby insuring that no one but the carwash will hire them....specialize and promote NOT computer science, mathematics, chemistry or engineering but African history, AFrican American history, and ethnic studies.....pass them on from grade to grade year after year regardless of performance or achievement....
This is so incredibly tragic.

Subjecting these children to an Ebonic curriculum will drag them down furtherDon't you just lvoe it when a plan comes together??
More failure = more things to groan about = more social programs = more spending.

The language of success is English. Subjecting these children to an Ebonic curriculum will drag them down further--a form of child abuse. You are correct. Nothing more needs to be said.

Who is going to choose a doctor or an engineer that speaks in "ebonics"? On the plus side, they would have a good future in Detroit politics.
