Some in GOP fear more revelations, and hope naming a court nominee will overshadow case.
WASHINGTON If Karl Rove was source No. 2, who was source No. 1? Rove, President Bush's top political advisor, has survived a bruising week of controversy over his role in the unmasking of a CIA officer. But White House officials and their Republican allies acknowledge that they may face more revelations in the weeks and months to come.

Cooper is going to be on Meet the Press.
I know that, it's my point. If Plame was not covert then how could anyone out her in a criminal fashion? So if this is the case, what in tarnation are these prosecuters investigating? Why is Miller sitting in jail then? Who cares WHO revealed Plame's name as a CIA employee?
Something else is happening here or Plame was REALLY undercover!
Cooper is on Meet the Press....He sure is scared of something.
The something else that's happening is somebody lied to the FBI or the Grand Jury and the prosecutor is pursuing a cover up. It's an old rule of thumb in Washington. The cover up is always worse than the original "crime"
I agree the convergence of Miller's and Plame's special interest is likely more than a coincidence. Corn is also in this mix. Does anybody know if there are links between Corn and Miller - undoubtedly there ar elinks between Corn and Cooper/Grunwald?
Covert agents probably get 10 times the money as a desk jockey. MONEY!
It depends on "who wins." The winner writes history. Either the people fight for self governance, or they lose it. I can imagine the historians referring to this time as "The decline of the failed experimental government called the USA."
Cooper is still not revealing his FIRST source.
No they won't (lose all credibility, that is). The degree of credibility rises and falls in increments.
I noticed, about 25 years ago, that all media run the same stories on the same days with more or less the same degree of relative prominence. The only conclusion that can be drawn from that is that the media is either monolithic, or a herd. Either way, the readers don't get a broad range of input to stimulate independent thought.
Media uniformity is a fairly new phenomenon. It is not a good thing, IMO. I am also offended by media claims of imparitality, mostly because a substantial number of people are stupid enough to fall for that claim.
What's he saying?
Not necessarily. She is in jail now for a simple refusal to testify. Grand juries rarely subpoena a target of their inquiry.
Good point!
Well, hells bells, to the MSM when it comes to anything Bush it's the seriousness of the allegations, not the evidence that counts!
This entire episode vividly illustrates how intellectually bankrupt the Dims really are when it comes to running the country....
Yes, but we really need to find out if Plame was covert or not.
And if she pleads the 5th what would that imply?
"If Rove Wasn't Initial Source of Leak, Who Was?" [LATimes laments]
Should read:
"If Wilson Libeled Americans, to Which Entity Does Wilson Pledge His Allegiance?"
You're right when did the FACTS start mattering to the MSM&D to implicate Bush and his Adm?
I really believe the MSM is the way it is today because of Watergate. They all want to be Woodward or Bernstien. And the bad guy in their hayday was a republican....so they are all trying to get the next republican while not paying attention to the other side of the isle.
One thing he said was that Rove was not his original source and there may be several....but he was not explicit. So I don't quite understand.
