There has been an explosion at Aldgate East underground station in London, causing the closure of the entire Tube network.
There are also reports that a second incident took place at Edgware Road station in north west London.
The Aldgate East blast was caused by "some kind of power surge", according to Tube infrastructure company Metronet, which is responsible for maintaining the Metropolitan line.
A spokesman said: "We don't know the extent of the problem yet."
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We have just sent some resources out to the scene."
British Transport Police confirmed that there are "walking wounded" and said paramedics have responded to one report of a person classed as "life at risk".
"It's chaos, with people trying to work out what has happened," said a spokesman.
"All we know at the moment is that staff reported a loud bang at 8.49am. No one is sure what caused an explosion, but it is thought it could have been a collision, a power cut, or a power cable problem."
One witness said the packed underground train he was on was 200 metres from Kings Cross when there was a huge flash.
The train stopped and people were using umberellas to smash windows of the trains. Passengers were led out of the train by underground staff.
He added people were milling around Kings Cross covered in soot.
...he was in London earlier this week ...
There is the reason for the terrorist attack.
He is gonna insult President Bush,
He better be careful, his new parents might not invite him back to Kennebunkport.
Thank you, you saw my frantic reaction to the post last night. I had awakened from a sound sleep for seemingly no reason and went to the computer, telling myself that the whole time that this was really stupid because there would be no one there. The first post was the one about the blast on the London tube. I just went to pieces. It was the most amazing thing. I have to think that God's hand was in my awakening and my son's over sleeping. Thanks, for the link, I was just trying to calculate when to call him tomorrow morning, his time.
There is no circular reasoning here. You are quite reasonable in saying they are illogical, based on your standards. You can even say that their standards are wrong and you are welcome to try to convince them. But you can't say that they are illogical based on their standards and their standards are what they use to make decisions.
Look at drudge some of the media has is it right over their
God be with you all in England and know America stands with you. Stay safe.
May the Force be with you.
JEDI.
They will pay for this.
I read today that baby brother Jeb is up at Kennebunkport, so I just wonder if Baby Bubba might just stay away for a while!
I hope your son is well and I will pray for him and all concern tonight.
But of course, they ALL share one brain, thus, the same talking points.
...put it next to Seantor Allen's release, for 08! ;)
LOL - I was just on a thread about him and '08!
What I was saying was not that they are irrational, based on their standards but that they have no real standards because the Koran is irrational and contradictory and that these people are misdirected and brainwashed into believing that their religion leads them to be murderers. Maybe it is a matter of poor education, but I have a feeling that it is more a matter of emotionalism.
IDEA: All metro & bus doors should have cameras recording continuously; the images should be broadcast by wireless and saved where they would survive an explosion.
Yes.
grep says You are too.
why don't you change "curtains" to "diapers"?
Why is the death toll so different on the newspaper covers?
Who is grep?
It was done intentionally. Three generations of ayatollahs pounding the culture of death into their heads has produced an incredible force for destruction.
They are not irrational based on their standards. Unfortunately, I think the only answer is that they will have to be hmmmmm "eliminated" (cringe). I can't see any other way out. I don't think you can "deprogram" that kind of thing.
Because they look like curtains, not diapers on their heads. Remember the picture of the Saudi guy holding hands with "W" ? He was wearing funeral home style curtains.
Thus...the curtains.
:-)
JEDI
Are they saying good things about Senator Allen?
No, I know you are right. There is no such thing as political correctness when it comes to dealing with the terrorists.
I have to go to bed now---let me know who grep is, and we will continue tomorrow...
good night...
later

Naw, in the words of a great man; "Put the 'off' button on." ;*)
