***If Democrats are going to make an issue of same-sex "marriage, or one-sex "marriage", during the confirmation hearings, it isn't to make it known to Republicans, or the overwhelming majority of Americans who are against same-sex[one-sex] "marriage".

A pro-homosexual agenda is still a major plank in the DNC platform, and Schumer's comments make it all the more obvious.

If Bush sticks to his guns and nominates a "strict constructionist" this would not even be an issue. The so called "privacy issue" is a little lame. The federal government should not be regulating marriage.

OTOH it may take a constitutional ammendment to resolve the "full faith and credit" aspect when some states pass this concession to the multicultural agenda. But if states pass it, (homosexual marriage) it is within their power to do so. It should well be within another states power to not honor same.

It does surprise me that leaders of the Jewish faith have not yet pulled the rug out from Chuckie.

All questions are legitimate," Schumer told ABC's "This Week." "What is your view on Roe vs. Wade? What is your view on gay marriage?"

No, Chuckie. What matters in a confirmation hearing for Supreme Court is the individual's ability to rule based on what the constitution says, not on what the individual wishes it said.

Gee, a gay guy can marry a woman and a gay female can marry a man. So what's the big deal unless someone is stopping them from doing so?

And when did the world decide that this 1% of the population needs so much damn attention? It's been estimated that there are more pedophiles in the total population by several percentage points than the number of queers in the country. So? When is Charles SHOE-MAHH going to start demanding that pedophiles get what they want?

In a time of war, in a time of terrorism, in a time of budget battles -- leave it to the Dems to make "gay marriage" their top priority.

Schumer always has looked, sounded and acted, extremely light in the loafers, but until that homosexual marriage statement I just thought he was a sissy.

Wonder who the same sex soul mate he wishes to woo and wed, might be?

It's looking more and more like the only appointee the democrat senators will be satisfied with is the infamous Judge Greer.

Really?

When did you stop beating your wife?

Are you now or have you ever been a member of the KKK?

Did you ever let a woman drown in 6 ft. of water while under the influenc of alcohol?

Homosexual Agenda + Moral Absolutes Ping - a Definite Two-fer.

So little Chuckie is letting it all hang out, is he? So in order for the treasonous party - I mean Democrats - to vote for a new SCOTUS team player, he or she has to be pro-sodomarriage?

They are itching for a fight, aren't they.

Freepmail me if you want on/off this pinglist.

Leading Senate Judiciary Democrat Charles Schumer said Sunday that he intends to make gay marriage an issue in the upcoming confirmation battle over President Bush's pick to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

First he was against gay marriage, now he's for it. With 4 countries already signed on and Canada teetering on the brink, Schumer has cast his sails in the direction of moral depravity. "Can't let them get ahead of us".

"All questions are legitimate," Schumer told ABC's "This Week." "What is your view on Roe vs. Wade? What is your view on gay marriage?"

"They are going to try to get away with the idea that we're not going to know their views," Schumer complained. "But that's not going to work."

Response: "My view on that particular issue is irrelevant as any potential question before the court will be 'What does the Constitution say on the particular issue?' or 'What does existing federal law' say on the particular issue?' Any case before the court will be decided on those questions and the merits of the specific arguments in the case."
