Off topic but the US Canada border should be converted into southern boundary of the new northern states of America following a short military exercise and repatriation of segments of the population to England and France.

The US-Canadian Boundary Commission should allocate funds to plant briar thickets and lay very thick large-scale barb wire along the border. If illegals try to come across, they won't come across unscathed.

On one occasion, a few years back, while returning from shopping in Québec, the U.S. customs officer was seen sleeping (or drunk) as we pulled up to the VT/PQ U.S. border crossing during the his 'graveyard shift'. I hope things are a bit more improved now.

This is not a lunatic notion, if we get hit by a nuke from the north it will be reality. We have not done it because we do not need to double our population collecting welfare benefits.

I suspect the southern boarder is the preferred route, but I am usually wrong.

We have the infrastructure, material and manpower active now to take and defend Canada within a week.

We knew in the 50's that Canada was vulnerable to attack and incapable of defending their territory... These contingencies are today just a routinely approved line item in the pentagon budget.

Someone should have taken a picture of those tire tracks.

The 9-11 Terrorists didn't come across the southern border.

All of these Tancredoites that can't focus on anything but the southern border are missing a major point.

That is - illegal immigration is but one facet of border security - and If you're going to send all your minutemen to one border, and not the other - well, idiocy speaks volumes about itself, and hopefully when it does speak, it doesn't say things like "Hey Stupid! while you were chasing your tail back and forth across the southern border, this yahoo snuck across from Canada and blew up an arena!"

Agreed, which in essence is no border.

First, Quebec needs to separate...and immigration tightened up (priority should be given to immigrants from allied countries that can easily be assimilated). Illegal immigration should be cracked down on.

Good point.

As I said, I am usually wrong.

You never see the one that takes you out.

The 9-11 terrorists should have been stopped in Halifax International Airport or back in Europe on their initial flights. With the Pentagon budget even higher and Canada annexed, all those holes that the Quebec pacifists keep adding onto in Canadian security would be closed in a heartbeat.

Shove one or two million liberals across the border, then close it down.

There is an old news report on Naples News saying Canada is a "hotbed" of terrorist cells. You must register to access the report now because the access deadline has past. There are numerous reports posted here about problems along our borders. Canada is totally naive. The country relies on its Mounted Police to project a tough law enforcement image. They would not be so utterly clueless if al Qaeda had bombed Quebec or Vancouver.

Not ONE of the 911 terrorists....I repeat not ONE....came
across from the northern border.
They were actually all living in the United States for quite some time.
The border problem is with mexico....a third world nation....not Canada.
I do agree the Canadian liberal system which prefers refugees, immigrants and minorities is sickening..I have to live in this climate....but Canada should be closing its
borders to all the rif raff that come over here but they
don't get it.
I pretty well am sick of Canada but it is not a nation that
gave you the 911 terrorists.

Borders are vulnerable for sure but visa-less travellers coming from Europe are likely a bigger danger at present, it's just too easy.

With all due respect, you're wrong.

Look it up. They were ALL foreign nationals, and several of them entered between Quebec and Maine.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that sealing the southern border will solve all our woes. It may help to stem the flood of illegal immigrants, but the northern border is MUCH easier to sneak across - both from a security and a geography standpoint.

- At the edge of a sprawling raspberry field where Washington state meets British Columbia, a U.S. Border Patrol agent shakes his head at tire tracks that snake between rows of berries and over the international boundary, which here is a gravel ditch so puny a person could leap it.

"They're long gone," says agent Candido Villalobos, who raced to the scene after a surveillance camera spotted the vehicle — transporting contraband? Drug money? Something more sinister? Too late to know. "They beat us," Villalobos murmurs.

From the nation that prides itself for having the most liberal standards in the Western world (suckups to Jihadis just like France and England). That's why the Minutemen want to have a presence on the Northern border - Duddley Doright can't seem to see a threat if it doesn't twirl it's moustache while tying a girl to a railroad track.

Typical american know it all........your minority opinion
creates some of the typical stereotypes everyone has of
americans.
Mexico is the third world problem....not Canada..that for
all intents and purposes is as wealthy or wealthier than
the U.S....except for morality and the "nation of minorities and frenchy crap".
