Urging city to dream, Villaraigosa takes control at Los Angeles City Hall
SFC ^ | July 1, 2005 | MICHAEL R. BLOOD

Antonio Ramon Villaraigosa formally took the oath of office Friday as the city's 41st mayor, promising to bring a new era of prosperity and unity to a city troubled by gang crime, garroted traffic and failing schools.

Let's dare to dream," he told a cheering, festive crowd of thousands that included former Vice President Al Gore, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver.

"I have no illusions that there is a quick fix or a single path," he said of city schools after announcing a new task force would advise him on education.

He promised new initiatives to improve the environment, unspool gridlock and fight crime. He made only passing reference to the huge costs involved.

SFGate is having a weat dream about a 'Governor Villagarosa'. Dare I say it, perhaps even an El Presidente Villagarosa?

Hell, why fight it? He couldn't do much worse than Bush has with regard to the Mexican national invasion.

The MSM can take a bow or two for doing there usual inept job covering the backgrounds of the candidates, in this case, V.

FRom BustaMeCHa to V, this state is full of elected officials who have allegiances to countries other than the US.

That's right. But hell, look at Arizona, New Mexico...

There are a number of states with leaders who are enthraled with just about every nation but their own.

I don't like what I see out there. Storm clouds as far as the eye can see...

Is that mace one of those obsidian-flake-edged head choppers the Aztecs used on their enemies and prisoners?

Razor sharp and fearsome, but no match for the Europeans' steel weapons!

Yep. There are none so blind, as they who will not see.

Our children will curse us in our old age for our stupidity, in handing over our country without a fight.

Could you please hurry up and finish it before Villaraigosa runs for CA governor, a springboard to the Presidency.

"Just think of those of us stuck here in LA, under the governance of the great Villaraigosa."

Ahh, it can't be too bad. I mean, look at Detroit. Detroit has had an open, avowed Communist for a Mayor for the last couple of decades and...

...Oh.

He may run as somebody's veep, but even that's unlikely. His vision of LA will crash and burn when faced with fiscal reality. This avowed radical socialist only knows one plan: raise taxes to the sky and increase all govt services, for any breathing human who finds his or her way to LA.

This is a death knell for LA, financially, as it will accelerate the flight of the producers. He will never get anywhere near Washington.

But he might be the first Caudillo de la Republica Del Norte, AKA Aztlan. Mayor Mecha's vision is to be a "Founding Father" of a separate, Indo-Hispano Southwest.

.. and this is how it will end, with a whimper, as those who have been duly elected sign away everything for 'peace & harmony' in their time and forget future generations in so doing, not realizing it was a sealing of their fates they had signed instead.

This commie is going to increase taxes, give more handouts to illegals, and basically act like a complete agent of Mexico. I currently live within the city of LA, but if things get much worse with the rampant socialism here I'll just move 5 miles to Burbank. Watch as most of the other TAXPAYERS in LA do the same thing.

This song has always seemed to fit the Left:

Kinks lyrics

Money & Corruption - I Am Your Man lyrics

(Sung by Chorus)
We are sick and tired
Of being promised this and that.
We work all day, we sweat and slave
To keep the wealthy fat.
They fill our heads with promises
And bamboozle us with facts,
Then they put on false sincerity
Then they laugh behind our backs.
1st Chorus
Money and Corruption
Are ruining the land
Crooked politicians
Betray the working man,
Pocketing the profits
And treating us like sheep,
And we're tired of hearing promises
That we know they'll never keep.
Money and Corruption
(Etc. repeat 1st Chorus above)
Promises, promises, all we get are promises.
Show us a man who'll understand us, guide us and lead us.
We are sick and tired
Of having to ask them cap in hand
We crawl on the floor
We beg for more,
but still we are ignored.
We're tired of being herded
Like a mindless flock of sheep
And we're tired of hearing promises
That we know they'll never keep.
1st Chorus
Money and Corruption
Are ruining the land
Crooked politicians
Betray the working man,
Pocketing the profits
And treating us like sheep,
And we're tired of hearing promises
We know they'll never keep.
We've got to stand together
Every woman, every man,
Because money and corruption are ruining the land.
Show us a man who'll be our Saviour and will lead us.
Show us a man who'll understand us, guide us and lead us.
Show us a man.
Workers of the nation unite.
Workers of the nation unite.
(Mr. Black sings)
I visualise a day when people will be free
And we'll be living in a new society.
No class distinction, no slums or poverty
I have a vision of a new society.
And every home will have a stereo and TV,
a deep freeze, quadrasonic and a washing machine.
So workers of the nation unite.
I am your man
I'll work out a five-year plan
So vote for me brothers
And I will save this land
And we will nationalise the wealthy companies
And all the directors will be answerable to me,
There'll be no shirking of responsibilities
So people of the nation unite.
Union Man I'll work with you hand in hand
For we're all brothers to our Union Man.
I am your man,
Oh God how I love this land,
So join together save the Fatherland.
I visualize a day when people will be free
And we'll be living in a new society.
No class distinction, no slums or poverty,
So workers of the nation unite,
Workers of the nation unite,
People of the nation unite.

Head to Phoenix. We could use some right-wing California refugees to offset the leftist ones.

This Mechista and agent of the government of Mexico will have LA integrated into Mexico in no time flat. Afterall, that is the goal of MECHA. Most whites in CA are to damn afraid to do anything about it.

"I have no illusions that there is a quick fix or a single path," he said of city schools after announcing a new task force would advise him on education.

When in doubt, form a "task force." You can blow at least a couple of years waiting for it to advise you on what to do. And when it comes back with something painful and unpopular, you can always shelve it and start another task force.

So Arabs are looking at the election of the LA Mayor as a case study in taking over a major US city for conquest.
